By the way, Eli is GROSSLY overpaid. The Giants are spending Mercedes money on a Toyota. But it's not like they're the first NY franchise to pay too much for their players.
Dunno about that, I would not call him a Toyota. He has a SB ring and is better then 80+% of the QB's out there. The big problem is they did not bring in a high end WR (Boldin would have been great) then the Giants would have a target. I mean who the heck is Hakeen Nicks, or Mario Manningham....

I would have loved Boldin, but I don't think he was ever really available.

We'll see about Nicks- he was a good WR in college, we'll see how that transfers to the pros. Drafting big-time WRs from college normally result in busts. Some of the best receivers in the game have come from late round picks or undrafted guys.

Wanted to send out my condolences to the Eagles fans... the passing of Jim Johnson was very sad to see. Outstanding D-coordinator who came up with some of the scariest and most effective blitz packages in the entire league.

Too bad all of his hard work was undone by the dry-heaving McNabb... :D
Thanks, If you weren't a Giants fan I'd say you're alright.:D

I have no clue how well the Eagles are going to do this year...

JJ gone,Dawkins on the Broncos, Stewart Bradly done for the year:(....but the draft was pretty good and hold onto your hat Mr. Berkowitz...McNabb has been working on his accuracy.:)

Lord knows whats going to happen!:)

High WR draft picks do not normally turn out to be busts. I would say more quarterbacks do and many other positions before wr. Wr's are a safe pick but its the mentality of big time draft wr's that is usually the issue. They perform on the field but its the other antics that create distractions. WR is a very high ego position especially when you are hyped coming into the NFL.

Just be happy everyone you are not a Denver Broncos fan. How a head coach can single handidly destroy a team before he even coaches his first game is beyond me.

Yall just fired Mike too. If it weren't for the Raiders you might be eating the bottom of the division this year. That's a sad state for Denver to be in. But TO drove away our coach and then left for Buffalo so I don't feel sorry for you. J. Jones always screws up stuff.

'm hoping we get your old coach in the off-season.
With a real coach we might win a few games in December.

3 players I want to want to watch in 09.

Larry Fitzgerald- He's come of age and reminds me of Jerry Rice a lot. I love the way he plays the game. Just a monster.

Adrian Peterson- nearly 2000 yards last year with no QB. Reminds me of Barry Sanders kind of numbers. Unfortunately for him no relief is in site. I had hoped Favre could play since even a 70 percent favre is better than Tavaris Jackson.

Micheal Vick- I really want him to get another chance because he was a great player. I know everyone pulls out stats and bashes him as sucking, but that's not always the way to evaluate talent in sports. I find it's much better to observe them on the field and every time he touched the ball it was electric. Sadly I don't see him getting a shot.

What players do you guys want to watch most in 09?

Seriously, I have no life.
What players do you guys want to watch most in 09?
I'll probably watch more college football, especially if the Badgers are good again. I'll watch the Packers but if they suck, let's just say that I won't be their biggest fan.

The older I get, the less bullshyte I'm willing to put up with.

Michael Turner - Had a great year on a team that wasnt even supposed to make the playoffs.

Calvin Johnson - Having no QB and still putting up 1300+ yds and 12 TD's this guy is a beast. This is no simple feat when you play for the Lions.

I cant wait for the season to start. Its been a long summer.

You're hardcore man. I think the packers made a mistake cutting Favre, but I understood it.

Yeah I think that coach is amazing and should be bronzed. The QB they got is pretty good too.

No JJ sucks, that man was close to defensive genius, I sure hope his protege can step up.B-Dawg gone to the Broncos and hurt already , Sheldon Brown wants out , Stew Bradley hurt, rookie receiver holds out and misses the first 10 days of practice, and a couple of starters out smoking pot with young college girls along for the ride, how stupid can they be I mean geez Juqua Parker is married already I bet his wife aint too happy about now, and then the coach has his hands full off the field with his drug crazed kids, and we all thought TO was alot of drama. On the brighter side B West is lookin real good and should have a great season and three of our draft picks are for sure the real deal, R U Ready for some football.

EAGLES. :D

To give TO some credit he has never been in any trouble off the field and should not be bunched with the criminals. He is just not a team player.

Darien87 admit it! I know you have a big box of TO's new cereal in your cupboard  .

As long as he stays healthy. BW always ends up missing 4 or 5 games a year due to injury. They work him harder then any RB in the league, dont blame them I had to look it up to see who is next on the depth chart, LeSean McCoy. Maybe thats why they run that guy into the ground.

I think it will take a couple years to see if that is true or not. I loved Brett, but I think he was declining in performance. At 40, you have to expect that. Still better than 80% of the QB's out there. If you look at the stats (I know, not the whole story) Rodgers did a pretty good job in his first year. That's why they play the games and don't just go by what's on paper.

I would not call two rookies as reliable WR's until they prove themselves on the field. I dont think either one of those two guys currently strikes fear in the hearts of apposing defenses. Lets just say I wont be picking up any one of these guys on my fantasy team.

David Tyree is the only one that has experience and will probably be the #1 WR if he can stay healthy.

Steve Smith, Domenik Hixon and Sinorice Moss are all decent players but none of them call for double coverage from defenses like Plax did.

Lets just hope Jacobs and Bradshaw have good years again and make defenses respect the run game.

If they have an explosive running game like last year, teams will just stack the line of scrimmage. Look what happened in the playoffs without plax. If they are going to win at all this year their wr's have to make plays and I don't see that happening over a 16 game span.
