I have the HD-DVD version. i don't see myself double dipping for the BD version, but if the BD is as good as the HD-DVD I'd recommend it to those who didn't bet on the wrong team.

It has been out on BD for over a year. This is a new release with a significant amount of extras added.

I won't double dip either. It's a great movie but there is too much violence to watch more than once or twice.

LOL. Same with me Mike. I don't know if I really should triple dipp too. I doubt it, that'll be a bit overloaded, and a waste of my money too.
I'll wait for the Extreme Edition, 4-disc set Special Super Extended Cut from the Director's perspective with his Blu-ray goggles in IMAX format at 4K. :)
Should be coming right after the Blu-ray of Terminator 2: Judgement Day, The Absolute Cut.

I see it's the same transfer, for both video and audio. I guess that means the prices on the first edition will fall, and I'll finally buy it. I don't really care about all the extras, I just want the transfer of the movie to be as high quality as possible. So it's the original edition for me!

cheers,

Lower than what? It is routinely in the $10-12 range brand new.

That's right, you can get 300 on Blu at your Wall*Mart store discount bin for $9.99
And for already a long time now.

no BD bins at my crappy wally mart.
Well, it's an expression too, to indicate a very low price for a Blu-ray title.

You can also get it, previously viewed, from a video store, and it's very cheap there also. :)

It's a very old title by now, and there is zillion of copies all around, that are heavily discounted. I'm sure you'll find one, if you look good around.

Cheers & happy hunt & good luck. :)
