Anybody here still use SVHS and Cassette?

I know in an age of digital and high definition, it might seem like a silly question, but I wanted to know if anybody here still enjoys analog sources.

I have a DVHS player but no DVHS or SVHS tapes. I also have a laserdisc player with about 40 titles or so.

e it for casual recording of Tv programs for later viewing. No big deal about the quality of those programs

I also own a VHS and Laserdisc for a very simple reason, there are a some music concerts I haven't been able to find on any other digital format, DVD or Blue-ray. One of them is Pat Metheny Group's "More Travels" which I only have as VHS and Wham's "Wham in China, Foreign Skies" which is a LD.

Gosh...and I thought I was still an analog guy because I still have a turntable, a cassette deck and a VHS player. TLS Guy has me beat...fine setup. I enjoy the turntable and have a completely vintage (early 80's) 2 channel analog vinyl and cassette system that I use, mainly for records, which I love.

The cassette deck is mainly a vintage conceit, there because it refuses to die. My HT system also has a VHS player that I use now and again to view old tapes that I have not recorded. I have to admit though that VHS doesn't have any appeal any more. I just have neglected to get rid of it out of inertia, but given my druthers, I'll look at blue-ray any day.

There had been two movies I'd hung onto in VHS because they hadn't been released on DVD yest - Scott of the Antarctic and Cannery Row. Then this year they finally became available, so I'm not sure why I'm still carrying around the VCR.

I SVHS machine is hardly used because I do not even own a single SVHS movies. Who has them?
