Netflix popups with every click?

I'm seriously starting to dislike Netflix, as it's their name on the stuff that's harassing me.
That's something for Gene and Netflix to consider, IMO. It's certainly not a goal to alienate more people than you attract.

Like others, I use Firefox and haven't ever seen a Netflix pop-up here.

I use IE8 and just got another irritating popup from Netflix. My popup blocker is on and apparently not as effective as it used to be.

Jack, you might want to try Firefox and Adblock. I put off using Firefox for years, but I've been happy with it.

You could say the same about plasma. Wait until you decide to get a girl. :)
You're gonna love it. :D:D

If you need an owner's manual we'll have TLS draw up a diagram labeling all the different parts. :p
He went to school for that. ;)

I use IE8 and don't have this problem. It has to be the Computer and or your IE Setup.
Go to internet options and check Settings and check the IE Pop Up blocker

A sentiment that may be shared by a number of first time visiters, and something for the admins to consider seriously (IMO).

That said, please try out one or two of the fixes that have been mentioned here so far. I don't get any pop-ups.

I bet that most of the individuals having issues also have some third party software installed that is pulling them in.
All's I gotta say is "Check yourself (thoroughly) before laying blame elsewhere."

If you're running additional toolbars in your browser you probably are bringing them in and not the actual website.

Using Windows Vista and FF 3.02. No pop ups. Your computer may be compromised. I would run a malware scan at a site like www.antivirus.com use the free house call.

They may have a compromised web site cookie that is pulling in the ad insert. Sounds like a PIC error: Problem in chair.

If you are using IE, just clear all your cookies and then add zedo.com to the block list on the Privacy tab of Internet Options.

Everytime I see a Netflix popup it is from zedo.com.

The free house call has been telling me that it's been scanning something for the last 3 hours while it's trying to sell me something. I feel like a chump.

Edit: It doesn't matter though. I don't have pop ups or any other problems that I'm aware of anyway on the worlds oldest working eMachines. Knock wood. ;)

Turn cookies back on and it will stop.
Or add an exception to allow cookies from audioholics.com and forums.audioholics.com. This way you don't have to enable cookies for every site that chooses to leave one.

This can be done in the options/tools setting for your browser. You'll find cookies under Privacy menu, most likely.

Clint - never crossed my mind about the cookies. I'll have to store that one away.

Yea, it's the only way the code knows you've seen the ad and so it stops sending it. With cookies, you get one a day - which we hoped was tolerable for our readers in this downturn...

In all seriousness the thing I found to be intolerable was having to watch where my cursor was lest I should run it across one of those words that brought an instant pop up and some even had audio. That forced me to use Firefox with ABP ... twice (I couldn't figure it out the first time).

... but I get that you guys write articles and that brings readers (I'm here) so advertisers pay to reach us (Netflix is here). I would think that plenty of the casual readers still get reached by plenty of ads but the best option for serious post whores really is the often mentioned above options. The ads don't really need to keep reaching me. I'm here enough to have seen plenty of ads but somehow I feel a little disloyal for blocking them.

I'm going to check out some of your advertisers to appease my conscience and I already have Netflix. :)
