Need some help with how to power speakers

hello-
so i need some advice with a pretty strange set up,i recently purchased two 500 watt speakers to add to my stereo, they are very low quality and sound pretty bad when the bass level is even a reasonable level, but that is what i was looking for a cheap speaker.
my current stereo consists of 4 125 watt speakers and a 500 watt receiver along with a powered 150 watt sub. this works perfectly obviously and all of the components are high quality and sound very goo when the bass and treble levels are set one way.
i originally thought when i bought these new 500 watt speakers i would just add an amplifier and i would be fine, but now i have learned these new speakers sound awful when the bass and treble levels are at the level i keep my other speakers. so now i must find a system in which i can separately control the bass and treble levels of these new speakers alone, as well as power them, my first thought was an amplifier with such controls which i have been un able to find, then i thought an entire new receiver but that seems slightly stupid. i could use some advice if anyone knows of a product out that i could use with an amp to adjust the levels, or an amp that also has controls on them.

i dont need it to sound good, never said i did, i just need it to function and get most of the power out of them i can without blowing them because the bass level is too high, they simply need to function

Obviously, they won't "function" to your satisfaction. Put your money where it will do some good, like better speakers.

ok welli thought explained clear enough, i dont want to buy nicer speakers, what i have is perfect for what i want, i want loud, and i want cheap, i dont want to buy expensive speakers when i know there is a high chance that they will get broken where i am putting them, wether it be they get knoced over or deer spilled on them i dont want to ruin nice speakers i want to use these simply cause they are loud and the people who will be listening to them dont care if it sounds absolutely perfect. again i do not want and cant afford to ruin nice speakers, i want to use these, they are fine they sound good to my ears when adjusted right so i am happy, now if anyone has some advice on my question i could use a bit of help. thank you to everyone who can offer me advice on what i need.

a integrated amplifier should be able to do what i need correct?
i have been looking at inexpensive intergrated amps, mainly Pyle and technical pro, any input on those? im not looking to spens much keepin it around $125

You obviously don’t want any form of real help, and don’t really care about performance, so why even ask? Just buy the cheapest thing you can find and be done with it.

If you want new try this. This is proably too good for your speakers.

^+1 Cheap and loud usally means crap. Buy some Klipsch speakers and a 50wpc amp and let the ears bleed.

i do want help, because i dont really know what i am doing, i am a college student that is almost entirely broke, i am not looking to spend alot of money on speakers and equipment that is going in a suite and undoubtably will be destroyed by the end of the year, when people are drunk and just looking to dance they dont care about recording studio quality sound so i didnt splurge cause i alreayd have recording studio quality sound out of my other components and speakers that will be safely protected, however these two speakers will be right next to the bar and will get damaged so would i waste my money on high quality speakers just to ruin them, i thought i explained that cleary but apparently the people who responded already are to stuck up in thier expensive gear to give someone who is obviously a novice some advice.
to all those who are not stuck up ***** i could still use a little more advice, thank you for your time and input it will be greatly apreciated anything you can give.

Why dont you fill us in on the gear you have and not their phoney power ratings, brands so we know your level. You came to Audioholics you know

you can find used klipsch speakers and a 50w receiver for 200. And that will get you to 100dbs which hurts

Bandphan first i would like to thank you for your candor.
I currently have two KLH bookshelf speakers i bought about 4 years back that are listed as 150 watts i also have two sony floor standing speakers the SS-F6000 al9ong with a KLH powered sub all of that is connected to my sony reciever which i do not know the serial number of off the top of my head, i was hoping to make it louder without spending much money at all, i wasnt looking for quality because as i said the speakers are all but guarenteed to be damaged so off of ebay i purchased two acoustic audio 500 watt speakers not really knowing what i was in for for $20

What you need to do is look for highly effecient speakers, thats what will get you loud not the amp(so to speak). Find a pair of used klipsch and plug just them into your sony and you will be fine

The sensitivity (or efficiency) spec can be helpful in predicting how a speaker will work with low or moderately powerful amplifiers/AV receivers. An average sensitivity spec is something around "88dB/1watt." Higher sensitivity speakers, 90dB/1 watt are "easier to drive," meaning they will play louder with fewer watts than less sensitive speakers.

Speakers are powered with an amplifier.

Since you have what appears to be home audio speakers you option tend to be limited.

But if you get the following components you can make the best of your setup.

1-Behringer Feedback Destroyer 1124(for eqing)

1-Behringer CX2310(for a crossover between the mains and subwoofer.

1- 2 channel power amp with XLR inputs. Like a behringer A500

You will need to use some kind of pre-processor, like a receiver. You may also try a Mixer as well. Without more details I can't suggest which way you go.

You will need cables, but monoprice.com has good ones for a great price.

If you want to try my methods then I'm willing to give further help.

i di check it out and i decided for 20 dollars it was worth it, and after hooking them up alone to my reciever i was happy with the investmnet, but i do not have enough power in the reciever to power all my speakers and i would like to control the levels seperatly for these speakers so that it sounds better
