I hate to be that guy, but here I am...
so, I am looking at getting a new TV. I currently have a 32" 720p dynex LCD. It's fine when I am close to it, like I am now, which is about 4 feet, but it doesn't really cut it when I am sitting back and watching some or playing a game, especially multiplayer
:cough::RE5::cough:
. Not to mention, it's kinda weak compared to the sound system (i.e. the image feels to small to match the sound). so I am really looking at upping the size of my screen.
Right now I'm thinking of 42" screen, 1080p. MY viewing distance will probably be around 10 feet. I know that this is further away then I would see the benefits of 1080p, but I use my TV as a computer screen a TON (it's main use is as a second monitor), so I would still like to have 1080p.
Like I said before, I use my tv a lot as a monitor, but other than that it's video gaming or movie watching (PS3, Wii, PS2, Dreamcast, ect.). Right now my Budget is around $1000, I really don't want to spend more than that, the fact that I am considering this TV is a little bit ridiculous, even, but I would really like to step it up a notch.
I love the look of Samsung and Panasonic is pretty darn nice as well. I use to not even consider plasmas because of the burn-in, but I hear that that is pretty much all gone and I love the black levels on them... But I haven't been in the TV area very long, and I want to ask the experts
Do you guys have any suggestions for me that I could consider? I am all ears (or eyes, I guess, lol).
