I am dying, I have a perfect kappa 12 in ported enclosure, ep2500 and just recently got a DCX 2496. I cannot get the 2496 to work, when going thru setup it keeps telling me that the noise level is not loud enough? I do have microphone hooked up to it and input C is not clipping from noise but has 5 bars. do i need microphone to get the crossover to work or can i bypass it?

Please someone save my day!

I have read almost all of the thread, my issue is different. the only way i can get sound thru the crossover is by auto align mode. My sub then makes noise, the microphone input C lights up the leds, even loud enough now to get red lights on it, but still says that it cannot align, noise is too low. The inputs are front mains, with my yamaha 2600 set to large front speakers. right now i do not have my second ep2500 to drive the main speakers (not sure if that is my issue) I have the crossover set to preset 42

Is there a way to set up crossover without auto aliging?

If someone thinks they can walk me thru the set up over the phone, my # is 815-979-1943 and i can call you right back if you would like.

OK, I got it working, thanks to Chris (I really do appreciate all of your wisdom and help). Somehow the receiver was not outputting a signal to the crossover, but Chris got me on the right track, again.

Now to progress foward, I have an expensive microphone (DBX-M RTA mic that will be returned rather quickly) what do I need to do to get the sub in tune with the room? REW? Will that be a USB mic hooked up to PC or can i use the RTA mic for that?
