few questions on setup for my behringer ep2500
I am using the sub out on my marantz sr 4001 to feed the amp.

Now on my marantz there is a bass +\- that you can adjust, there is also another option that allows you to adjust the power going to each individual speaker which allows you to balance out the sound depending on where you are sitting.

then there is the one on the behringer ep2500.

how do you go about picking a setting for each?
also is there a difference in using the xlr vs the 1/4" jack inputs?
thanks

I would avoid using the Bass +/- adjustment like the plague. You can adjust the subwoofer's level independantly from the rest of the system on "channel level". I would set the Behringer's gain to around a 1/4 of the way up and start tweaking from there between it and the channel adjustment on the Marantz. I would also suggest utilizing the x-over in the receiver and setting all speakers to "small".

Note: If using the Behringer in stereo mode (not bridged), feed an input to each L and R input channel. The DIP pin mode that is supposed to multiply a single input to power both channels does not work properly, and one channel will have a very different gain level than the other. So if using a single subwoofer output from your receiver, use a Y adapter to feed both channel inputs on the EP2500, when in stereo mode.

Really, how did you find this out and I wonder if that would explain why the rear sub gets overdriven?

Thanks guys

Wmax yea that makes sense now because I first set it up using stereo mode using only one XLR cable and I had little output.
I then switched it to bridged mode and that worked well.

I will probably just keep it in bridge mode.

Should i be using any of the other dip switches besides the bridged/stereo ones?

thanks
