Thank you for your generosity.

Hey Thanks guys, that's pretty cool to feel appreciated.

In particular, I'd like to thank met64, it's true that we did our fair share of PMs, and not only here at Audioholics, but also at AVS.

What is very unusual though, is for me to venture on other less active forums, like right here. I just end up here by accident. So, what a joy to see a thread started by my good buddy 64met.

It's true that there are many people here of high caliber about helping others, so, I'm not alone here. And for me, it's all about TEAM work anyway.

As for my way of posting, you have to remember that I just type with only one finger at a time. Some of my posts took more than two hours to type.
And some took couple days sometimes to do all research. I write down all important coordinates. I got tons of writtings to assist me. I'm ver diligent on what I'm doing, and only give the best informations to my knowledge.

You also have to know that I really start posting here at Audioholics only from about one month ago (mid-May). Before that I was posting mainly at AVS, 90% of the time. I am also an active member to about a dozen other Audio sites across the globe. I speak perfect French.

I'm going to be very honest here with you guys; I was banned for life, not only once, or twice, but three times from AVS. Main reason: too many posts!
I was averaging 60 to 80 posts a day at few times. Not because I'm into numbers or records, but because I'm a true passionate of my hobby, and I feel good helping younger or even older ones. My rate of help or Thanks, similar to what you guys have here, was about 80%, and that's counting the humoristic posts only.
AVS give me several warnings about too many posts, even if they were valuable to their members! I got ban for life, but work back my way in by directly addressing the main administrator (the true starter of AVS Forum from 1999, but already into idea in 1996).

I made some many great friends there, and very few hard boiled heads.
But it only takes one or two bad apples to spoil the great valuable help I was providing. It is unfortunate, if this would not have happens, I wouldn't be here as I am now. Audioholics is about a very small fraction of what AVS is, but for the small size, Auduoholics make it up by the quality and generosity of people. This is one of the most friendly Forum on the planet, period.

I'm 55 years old, and I've been into Audio actively since the age of 0. What that means is that I'm from a family of artists and musicians.
All my life revolves around creativity and learnings.
And Arts plus Music is my life.

My vast knowledge reflects from reading all the audio magazines from the age of about 20. Idid subscribe to several audio magazines for many, many years.
One of my room at home is only fill with that, and from all over the world.
It's my audio library room.

Am I an obsessive person? No. I'm a hard core audio, film, music, nature and super hard working person that do everything with extreme passion and dedication, that's all.

For some people, it is way too much, so I have to refrain myself sometimes to accomodate them.

My philosophy in life is: it's not what you accomplished in the past that really counts, it's what you do with it right now, in this actual time.

My true wish: Peace for every human inhabiting this planet of ours.

Now, coming back down to Earth, here in this Forum, everything is fine on the waterfront.

I do spent many hours here, it's part of my life now, you are my family now, my friends, my confidents; you are an important part of my life, you, the members, the newcomers, the mods, the administrators and the visitors.
I consider you all as part of my family, all equally important.

I never own a computer in my life. This is the 2nd one (an IBM) that I owned now only from about the last 8 or 9 months. My very first computer in my life was not even from a year ago, it was less than that. And I crash it within a few weeks! It was just too old (that's why it was free). This ine now that I'm using, I bought it from advice of a friend of mine that is a true Guru computer freak, nerd or whatever you want to call that, He owns a dozen computers or more and repairs them for it's own benefice. Just like I said, he is a true passionate about computer technology.

There were some people at AVS that thought I was using several computers at once, because of my rapidity to respond at several threads.
NO, only one small and cheap IBM computer with only one finger to type at a time, honest God true.

There are other things that I excell at; sociology, philosophy and anything between.

In true Audio, you cannot classify a component that reproduces the signal in it's original form. It's the same thing with people.

Ok, I can talk for hours, weeks, months, years on end, but gotta go now, some people are in search for answers, and I just might have them for them.

So, everyone here that read this, you take care, Good morning, Good night & Good-bye.
And God bless you all.

Robert (aka Bob, aka LOTR)

Is one of your monikers JBL4645?
Are you talking to me?

What do "monikers" means?

Are you talking about JBL speakers? I never own JBL speakers of my life, that I can recall.

The speakers that I own are mainly Canadian brands.

Are you mistaking me for another person?

Are you looking for trouble or friendship?

I could be wrong, but your writing style and tone is very similar to a guy who floods another site with waterfalls of movies, and he also has a large JBL subwoofer. Anyways, never mind if it's not you JBL...:) Funny thing is he hasn't posted over there for about two weeks.

You are completely confusing me.

Did you read my questions?
1. I ask you what does "monikers" means?

2. And what is "waterfall of movies"?

3. What other site are you talking about?

* Maybe if you can explain better, perhaps I can understand something!!!

"Moniker" means screen name. He was just asking if you were a member of another site with that screen name, that's all.

If you don't know what a waterfall chart is, then it wasn't you. :)

Ok, today is the first day of Summer, it's Father's day, it's Sunday, I feel pretty good after talking to my Dad...

Now, Seth=L, you absolutely distort my intention, and now we have a chain reaction, where I feel at fault for being honest with you!!!

I love everyone here, why is it so hard to understand?
Seth=L, your post that start this unfortunate situation is the cause of my distress. Why did you have to start something of nothing?
Are you on medication or what? You PM me, and I did respond to you honestly. Why do you have to spoil the great discussions that we're having?
I did not start this, you did.

And the mystery thing about this is you don't even know what you are saying exactly, but you just shoot it anyway in a less than friendly manner.
Do you know which post I'm referring to?

Thank you very much, you did hurt me for something that I don't even know what your problem is.

And now, few more people are jumping in the bandwagon as if I'm guilty of something!!!

Mike, the pictures of your kids help to come me down, but honestly I'm at lost here, well I did not mean any harm in my language at all, actually my intended tone was truly friendly.

And Croseiv, where are you coming from? Still have doubts of who I'm truly am? The way you post your post, I'm a bad dude. It seems that you are good at fire starting, am I right?

All right, this is my defensive position about a small friction, which should not have taking place in the first place, right Seth=L?
One thing is for sure Seth=L, you did bring pain in my heart for no apparent reason. And it still deep even more now, shame on you.

Thanks Adam, I look at moniker in my dictionary, but I could not find anything.

And I don't know what a Waterfall of movies mean neither!!!
A waterfall chart, yes, with graphs and frequency response usually for speakers, like in Stereophile magazine, no problem.
But the word movies with it, confused me.

And my name is LOTR in all other forums from other sites.
And I don't have JBL speakers, and know nothing about what he's referring to.
I just feel confused and at lost.

I just wish that Croseiv would be more forward and explain to me the situation.

But I guess it was not to be. So, as a good buddy, you help me to understand a little more. Thanks.

Bob

I think a water fall of movies just means a lot of movies.

Okay, I may be wrong, but you sure do remind me of that guy. Anyway as I see you have over 2000 posts over at AVSforum in the same amount of time as here, it is really amazing that you "only" type one finger at a time.:)

You are 100% WRONG. Did you visit your doctor recently?
Maybe some therapy is in order.

I love everyone here, why is it so hard to understand?
Perhaps because you insult and attack people, like...

Are you on medication or what?
That's not the optimal way to get people to think that you are being friendly. You like to say that you are all about making friends, but you sure do put people down a lot. When you "apologized" to me a week or so ago, I'm pretty sure that you insulted me in your post. At least one other person thought that and PM'd me about it. Perhaps it's just a language barrier, but you seem to get defensive and lash out at other people. You asked why it's hard to understand that you love everyone here, and I'm just giving you examples.

As for the cursing:
...well I did not mean any harm in my language at all, actually my intended tone was truly friendly.
That is not at all how I interpreted it. Your tone did not come across as friendly to me. I'm not calling you a liar, Bob. I'm letting you know how your post was interpreted by me. It's hard to tell tone within someone's writing, but if you really are being friendly, then it's not always coming across correctly.
