Aye, Might have to think about how the LPA-1 is going to be placed. Combined weight of 110-120lbs may, just maybe put some strain on the bottom shelf

Yep new racks are in order for the long term.

For the next week though woud it be ok to situate them somewhere on the ground if the stand is unstable or maybe on the sub cabinet. Thinking..Thinking..

We can put the EP2500 on one of the subs and possibly the LPA-1. We can adjust as we go depending on where the subs end up going.

Big thumbs up to Matt34 for providing his exceptional A/V skills today. I wish i had a string of your knowledge wealth of what you bring to your fellow A/V holics. Thank you again.

4 subdudes are on order. Wife did not want me to put up panels so i am not to sure on how i am going to deal with those but thank you.

Oh and the kappas config you did is just right. More than enough punch for me.

Looks great! I didn't realize that Matt was coming up this weekend. You live in Tucson, right? I think that I read that in a post.

West of Tucson near Ajo. I got lost going out there, my GPS was telling me he lived in this open field with no house around for about a 1/4 mile.

Glad you like it Daniel, it was really nice to meet you and get everything setup and running. He has a very impressive projector/screen combo and now he has the full spectrum surround sound to go with it.
We ended up moving one of the Kappas in the back corner of the room to get rid of a null at around 63hz that we couldn't EQ out with the SMS-1.

Like I said if you have any problems or questions regarding anything we did today don't be afraid to ask. I'll come back up if need be.

Edit: Adam- he has dogs that make Nikki and my Shepards look like ankle-biters.....Great Pyrenees.

Yes the extended SW of Tucson in Three Points/Robles Junction. Matt was lucky enough to see our furbies in their horizontal "protecting the home" position. They don't pull that pose for just anybody :p

We had planned to have him come Friday of this week but upon noticing the front L/R channels of the Onkyo was out and was not in the mood to deal with service and warranty issues right away after dealing with my PJ warranty issue. So Saturday i purchased the LPA-1 from him to run the fronts then the Onkyo can do the surrounds and all the video and audio codec processing and then the Behringer EP2500 to do the Kappas. So with last minute of changing my mind, he was kind enough to come and bring the whole haul down yesterday.

Nice way for a newbie to enter the world of separates.

Hope you got home early enough to enjoy the rest of your weekend. Did not really want to keep you away from family longer than necessary.

Wife has a meeting tonight so it will give me some time to finish up the cable management.

New stand was pretty much assembled already. Put some sterilized sand in the post(s) to lessen possible vibrations. May get another VTI set to replace the center stand but there is no hurry.

I like the color palette you've got going on there.

I have the same rack in my bedroom in silver. The shelves are thin, but surprisingly strong.

I've been using Panduit in machinery for years. Good stuff.

Sorry I haven't gotten back to you on your amp question you sent in the PM. I don't think a xpa-5 would be a very big upgrade in youe setup over the lpa-1. It is a better amp, no doubt but for your usage, I don't think it will be worth the expense.
