Is the 60" Pioneer worth the extra ~$2000-2500? I have a 18'x18' room, so the extra 5" of the Pioneer is very appealing...plus, most of what I've read indicates the Pioneer has the superior picture even though it's 5 inches larger. I've also considered the Samsung UN55B8000 55" LED. Leaning towards a plasma as compared to LCD, but the Sony is impressive.

Just curious what others thought.

if you can get the 151, its no question in terms of pq. The sammy led/lcd is overpriced and overrated

I would take the Pioneer over the Sony any day. Extra $2,000 for the Pioneer? The street price of both should be within a few hundered of each other. The Sony originally had an MSRP of over $6,000. I don't know what it is now but It's not worth that. I have compared the two side by side and the Sony still suffers from viewing angle issues (doesn't take much off axis to wash out) and just doesn't look natural to me.

The Samsung 55 LED is one that I think is really over hyped. The picture looks so unatural. It has a fake quality that is hard to describe. It also has viewing angle issues and a super glossy screen with no anti-glare properties at all.
