So, it has been a while since I have checked out the site or posted. Don't know if I was missed, probably not - well too bad :p. I am back, kind of. Still very busy with classes and work. On top of that I married my partner of nearly 4 years the last weekend of May (no going back now ). Talking about a stressful ordeal - I don't recommend it :p especially if you have a 2000 mile drive (roundtrip) to the location (ours was in IA where she was born and we both did undergraduate studies and met).

Now that it is summer I have some free time, but not much since I am staying in classes and holding two jobs. So hobbies are still on the back burner for a while - my speakers still aren't done and I just need to put the finish on them . There is just no time. I am going to try and poke my head in every so often and not neglect my audioholic duties . About the only thing I have been doing is cooking (have to eat, right?) and helping out with my sister's blog some - vote for Hungry Cravings! (shamless plug :D).

Some food porn for your time:

Thanks for the congratulations!

is your website down?
Yeah, I took it down when I realized I wouldn't be able to maintain it. Too much work and no time to do it all with. Sadly, it had to go.

Fall 2010. I haven't made that in a while - I might need to again soon. Right now I have a duck breast hanging and waiting to become prosciutto (I used his amazing book as a guide).

Marriage, it's not just a word ... it's a sentence. :D

All the crack lines aside that's a lot fun in the beginning but oddly enough people often say it's also the toughest part. I have personally met a guy that had a marriage last 2 weeks and I think The Dawg has had one of those. :)

I too noticed the use of the word 'partner' and just wrote it off to your generation/ education level/ political correctness and chose to rise above the cheap shot. It wasn't easy for me.

Besides, we all know you enjoy the bearded clam. :D

Not really worried here - we have lived together a long while, shared finances blah blah blah. Only difference is the title - thus nothing has changed except we wasted some money (she is very well aware of my thoughts on this ;)).

Besides - worst case I make a quick chocolate cake like this one from a few minutes ago because she worked an 11.5 hour shift at her 8-5 job :(...

The terms "roots" are part of my crazy, socially liberal, politics and my research on gender. I try to live what I believe and espouse - hypocrites bother me. As far as political correctness goes, in this case it is more of a realization that words have significant effects on life and cultural structure. My effort is to curb the negative effects.

No beards please ;).

Words do indeed have significant effects and if you think the only effect of the word marriage is a change in title, I'm guessing you will soon learn the significant effects of that word.:D

Congratulations on the marriage.

67dB @ 1m +/- 3dB @ the frequency of Mmmmmmmm :)

That cake looked good until I saw it with the spoon. You baked it in a shot glass! That's not even a cup cake! I guess that's one way to practice moderation in all things.

In trying to establish healthier eating habits I only eat cheese on pizza. I try to only eat desserts in social settings but then it's a free for all. Curbed gluttony is what I call it.
