Hey Mods how bout a Memorial thread sticky for fallen AH family..

Ric's passing has hit rather hard as he was a great guy and we had many funny PM's. I am wondering if it might be possible to have a Sticky Memorial thread for fallen brothers like Ric. He was loved on here and a memorial thread would be a great way to keep him in our hearts as well as any AH family members who pass on. Just a thought As Gimpy Ric was one of us he should be memorialized IMO....any thoughts????

I have also put in a request that Ric be made a honorary forum Moderator out of respect.

Hopefully he will look down at us from time to time.

if the admins are gonna make a permanent 'fallen AH family' sticky ...

i recommend a link of the Ric thread to be put in it, and then the Ric thread unstickied after a certain period of time so we only have one sticky up there.

perhaps, instead of a moderator thing, the admins can make a special title only for Ric and other fallen AH families.

I don't think this should even be a concern (just my opinion). But it's their forum. Isn't there a way to scramble the password from the administrations end?

yes, i think there is, but it's up to the admins.

I wasn't aware of any other AH Departed. I'm sort of opposed to making Ric a mod.
I mean he was more well liked ... you know?
Just kidding guys, your efforts are appreciated by me ... By the banned? Not so much.

Anyway, I do like Mike's idea of having the rank/title say something appropriate. In Ric's case the whole thing is odd because of his exceptionally lousy physical ailments and his exceptionally awesome spirit. Nobody else really touches that.

I say we let Tomorrow figure it out.

I'd also like to see a new forum added for these types of threads. Something like a "Care Chapel" or "Goodwill Forum". A place where members can post things that they can use a little support. An illness, surgery, or just a tough time you're going through.

The Steam Vent just doesn't work for these types of threads. We need a special place for topics that require a little more dignity and respect.

Great idea Jamie! What a fine way of paying respects to someone like Ric. He was such an awesome guy. I support this notion 100%! If everyone had the outlook Ric had, then the world would be a much better place inmho.
