That's pretty much the same specs as the DTC-9.8 and the Onkyo models, is it not?

The Onkyo PR-SC885P is still the best deal, at $799.99 (was $529.99 last month).

They need to slim the units down. For some reason a receiver with the same (or very close to it) features uses the same chassis size. The DTR-9.9 has an amplifier in it that most home theater amplifiers aren't ready to go up against, but they can't fit all that gunk in a smaller chassis??? WTF?????????:confused::confused:?????????:confused::confused:

OK, what the...??? What the hell the DTR-9.9 s'got to do with it?
We're in a pre/pro zone here (DHC-9.9), and you bring a receiver in the playing field!!! The Denon AVR-5805ci measures almost a foot high!
So, you think that 7.665" high is going to cut it?

Just get a TagMcLaren pre/pro, it's only a couple inches high.

Did you see the new picture of the Onkyo TX-NR807? I like the looks better than last year ones. It's at Vann's.

Wouldn't that just increase the heat issues?

J/K.:D

You know it's to keep the cost down. A lot of companies do that - Emotiva, Outlaw, etc.

Even RBH speakers do this; their SUBWOOFER (1010) has the SAME exact cabinet as their (T-1) SATELLITE speaker!!! :D

That was a huge seller for me with the D2v... H 5-7/8 inches (14.9 cm) including feet. I think Emotiva is on the right track with this as well...

I have limited room in my Console, but I like the minimalistic looks of it....

Acu,

Do you happen to know how the Onkyo PR-SC886P measures? It's a pre-pro very similar to the high end Integra models.

The Onkyo PR-SC886P is exactly (plus rabbit ears) the same (99%) as the Integra DHC-9.9.
So, it will measure exactly the same.

LOTR

Note: The Integra DHC-9.9 is the upgrade replacement of the DTC-9.8.
And the Onkyo PRO PR-SC886P is the same vs the PR-SC885P.

DHC-9.9 = PR-SC886P (99% the same parts inside).
DTC-9.8 = PR-SC885P (99% the same parts inside).

Gosh, if I ever win the big jackpot, I would have to open up a huge HT store and have every single component available.

I mean I have a pretty nice receiver, but seeing all these other toys (Anthem, Integra, Onkyo, etc.) still makes me drool and want more.:D

I bet you'll be the perfect candidate for the Denon AVP-A1HDCI & POA-A1HDCI combo. :D;)

If I'm going to pay $15K, I expect a 20 yr warranty instead of a 2 yr warranty.:D

I just got my projector back from warranty repair, so this warranty business is still fresh in my head.:D

Even Emotiva and Outlaw offer 5 yrs warranty.

But a $15K Denon combo has only 2 yrs warranty?

Response from above ^

^ You definitively have a good point there. That is a lot of dough for only two years, indeed.
