Hello, I am new.
I have the Jamo E680's: Power (W, long/short term) 120 / 170 @ 6Ohm
My reciever is the VSX-01TXH: 110 Wx7 @ 8Ohm
Do these speakers have enough dynamic headroom?
I want these speakers to reach their fullest potential.

Should I look into thinking about purchasing a new reciever?

AVR. If this is my Pioneer, what AVR would you purchase to power these speakers efficently?

Two things really matter here.

1) How loud do you expect to play them normally?

2) What's their sensitivity rating.

That's a moderately powerful amp and, under normal conditions, would satisy most sane people.

14X14 I have my bed and a loveseat against the far wall.

Jamo E 680:
System Type 3 Way Bassreflex
Woofer (mm/in) 2 x 203 / 8
Midrange (mm/in) 76 / 3
Tweeter (mm/in) 25 / 1 Dome
Power (W, long/short term) 120 / 170
Sensitivity (dB, 2.8V/1m) 90
Frequency Range (Hz) 40 - 20000
Impedence (Ohm) 6
Weight (kg/lb) 13,8/30,42
Overall dimensions (mm/in, HxWxD) 1029x257x265/40,51x10,11x10,40

I have a 5.1 and 4x E 680. When upgrading to a 7.1 I will purchase towers with 4 binding posts but did not want to go all out on surrounds.
Ideas on the SC-05 for having enough power with the built in Icepower?
