Everyone wants them dead, but plasma keeps on

Seriously, I have no life.
I don't want plasma to go away- I don't like LCD and I really don't like DLP.

I could be wrong but to me it seems like the BD vs HD kind of thing. Most people who like LCD's are thinking Plasma will go away like HD did. The people who own Plasma's are just enjoying their set's and saying that they have the best. I own Plasma and I think they look best to me.

Measured performance does it for me;) Currently 1 LCD display passes the gauntlet with flying colors

Both have their place but you still can't beat Plasma for picture quality overall. Plasma still shines in value in the 50+" market as well. I'll end by saying I sure am glad I just bought my Pio 151FD.:D I'm set for awhile:D

Great post. I am in the market for a new 50 or 52" TV and am really considering plasmas first and lcds only if an incredible deal shows up. After buying a 42" panny plasma this Christmas, I have been nothing but please with its performance.

I absolutely love my Sharp Aquos LCD, the picture is amazing, and I got it for a great price, at leat it was great at the time of purchase. My friend just bought a new Pioneer 60" Plasma monitor. I really didn't get to watch it but for a couple mins. right after I helped him put it on the wall, but it also looked fantastic. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another lcd, or get a plasma. But I think that plasmas are still a bit pricey.
