klipsch 48 or sts sys ?

hey all, need thoughts on klipsch xf 48 system compared to def's sts at 1500 more. understandable that the sts has power sub contained in tower where as the 48 does not. don't know what advantage a power speaker like xf has when running a 3808ci or equal?the xf's has separate sub incl. where as the def's does not. my understanding is that the def's would need a sep sub also; which means more $$$ any thoughts would be appreciated thanks

IMO the STS is leaps and bounds better than the Icon line from klipsch. Def Tech seriously got this one right when they developed this lifestyle speaker. The ST's and STS's just have beautiful sound.

Save the money on the STSs for a separate sub and grab the Mythos Ones.
