....or should I just be happy with what I got?
Ok, so here's the dilemma - I can get a pretty decent deal on the this Chrysalis by Velodyne BassMatrix 12" sub

OR

stick with what I have, which is the powered sub that came with my Polk 6750 set

If I do spring for the Chrysalis - will the difference in bass be too much if I wanted to go 5.2? I've auditioned it and it sounds pretty great (although, the guy I heard it from in his HT, it was kinda boomy, so i don't think he had his surround sound set up very well) but I did like the sound of the bass.

So I guess I'm looking for anyone that has had experience with the brand or sub and could lend me some input. Thanks in advance!

It would certainly be an upgrade. And a worthy one. Though I would suggest a Front sound stage upgrade first. Then the sub. You can use your polks for surrounds in a nice 7.1 setup.

Thanks for the input! I've been eyeballing a set of Bic America venturi 64 towers as well as the 62clr-s center to match....just haven't been sure though (having not heard too much about BIC, other than the Venturi series is a solid line.)

Just wondering if the ole H/K 154 has enough to push decent sound and power to those.

The 154 is plenty powerful to drive those Bic's You can get well over 100db with the 154 driving those. They are very efficient towers.

But for home theater I suggest a Pair of Primus or Beta towers paired with the Beta 360 center(amazing center). Watch the HK store on ebay. Those speakers make an amazing front sound stage. For the price I've not heard a better front 3 set for home theater. (in the price range)

For a sub go with the SVS line. They make amazing home theater subs. If you end up with a beta front sound stage they can be crosssed at 80hz no issue.

The Behringer 2030ps are another choice as well. Though you would end up with 4 of them. The 154 is a nice receiver. Since your in the HK Family already I suggest sticking to it. learning a new remote scheme isn't always easy. The HK store has the best deals on those.
