Oh very nice.:D I like the rosewood. Post pics as well.

Did you buy them locally or online? I just purchased an Opus center a few days ago. I hope to have it by the end of the week.

I must say I'm very happy with my evo2's but I'm very jealous.

Well after having my Opus 2 for about 1 week now i thought i would let everyone what i think.

Well first off when i opened them up they are just beautiful like nothing i have ever seen, as far as furniture goes, they really go all out on their speakers.

Now the sound is wonderful it is so full and has just the right amount of warmth but is still very open and has alot of detail (what you put in is what you get out) The bass is very punchy and tight and just sounds right. I listened to the egales hotel Califorina for example and when it starts out it has all the highs then goes into the rest of the song and sounds like you are right their in concert with them, they seem to take all the power i want to give them with no problem and i have the Emotive XPA-3, they seem to mix very well together they sound great!

I think these are the smoothest speakers i have ever heard with my own ears but that is not saying alot so take it for what it is worth. I know what good speakers sound like though and in my book these are probley as good as i can affored anyway, but i would guess they coud stand up aganist some speakers that cost alot more than the Opus 2.

So in my experience with them they are top notch and would be hard to beet and should have more publicity than i could find on them, all in all i am very glade that i bought them and if anyone knows anyone who wants to buy my SVS MTS-01s let me know and i will give them a good deal on them, between the too speakers though they both sound great and i almost dont want to get rid of the MTS-01 but i just like the Warfedale Opus 2 a bit more.

Thanks for review Kirk. I'm glad you are enjoying your Wharfedales as much as I am. Great speakers for the price and the build quality is great.

Did you get a center as well? I was doing some searches at ebay and someone with a username just like yours picked up Opus surrounds.

You know, I've spent years trying to describe the Opus 2, their sound and what I love about them. I've babbled on endlessly :D trying to capture and describe them. And you hit it right on the head, first try:D

Nicely done!

The one thing about the Opus 2 that gets over-looked is, their sound is very addictive. They ease you into your sofa/chair, hand you your favorite drink and charm and seduce you into a musical state of euphoria.

As much as I love my Jamo speakers (the one's I bought for the other systems in my house), it's always the Wharfedale Opus 2 that seduce me so much that I can't bear parting with them. Four and a half years with my Opus 2 and they still pull at my heart strings ....every time.

I've auditioned speakers twice....four times ...5 times the price of the Opus 2, and none of them have been able to displace the Opus 2. I don't even want to try finding some thing better, anymore. I have no desire to.

I'll never part with them. They'll remain in my main system till they fall apart and crumble into dust.

The Opus Center Channel is the best Center Channel I have heard (obviously I haven't heard them all). Excellent design and excellent execution.

Typically I'm not a fan of these type of horizontal center speakers. I prefer center channels that are vertical and preferably ...the same speaker as the Right and Left Fronts.

But the Opus CC is something else.

All right you guys, I'm jealous. I knew I wanted Opus speakers for at least a year now but can't quite afford them. The more I hear about them the more I think the real question is can I afford not to have them?
I tried to buy some on ebay a while back. They were model 1 but the price was working and the world seemed a bit brighter but I got sniped with 3 seconds to go. The guy upped the price by $100. What's up with that?
Well, thanks for that review Kirk. Did you get the white gloves included?
