Wow, I didn't realize the Sanus units looked that good "in person." Is that a Woodbrook WFV66 Lowboy? The online pictures that I've seen are pretty poor, but yours looks great. What finish is that? Mocha?

Thanks!

Yeah, that is indeed the model and the finish is mocha. I thought the same thing about the pictured online. The ones on the Sanus site look decent but some others I have seen are not so flattering. It works for my needs...I really liked the BDI and Performance Furniture products also but was not going to spend that kind of $$$...

Little bit of an update in the new place....for the moment I am, however, down to a stereo rig but the movie experience is still surprisingly good even only with two channels--which I was pleasantly surprised by. Hopefully in the near future I will be the welcoming some Paradigm Studio's to replace the Polks which will give a nice enhancement to listening overall...

Hello Chopin_Guy.

Beautiful setup you have there.
I have a question for you though, why do you think the Paradigm Studios will enhance your listening experience over the Polks!?! If I'm not mistaken, the RTi12's are pretty formidable speakers. Very neutral sounding with incredible low end performance. I'm just curious, which Studio's do you plan on acquiring?

Regards.

BTW, I do also realize that the Studio series is an awesome speaker line.

Well as it turns out I am glad that I did not win that bid on some Paradigm Studio 100's last night....as my Alesis synthesizer crapped out on me today and I will have to buy a new keyboard(must have kind of thing for a working musician)...

In any event, to answer your question, I really liked the sound-stage of the Paradigms over my Polks. Do not get m wrong, the Polks do sound nice and I will have them for sometime to come now. There is alot of talk of an amp opening them up more--so I might give that a sot down the road as well. But that is where I was coming from on that...

Hello Chopin.

My condolences to you regarding the Alesis!
The Denon AVR3808 has a very decent amp section for an AVR. Arguably one of the better amps available in an AVR. But, without a doubt, a standalone amp will bring new life to the RTi12's. That low end performance I mentioned in the previous post, with the right amp, will be enhanced so that foregoing the Paradigms for a while will be something you can live with!;)

Personally, with the RTi's I would try to commandeer a preowned Sunfire Cinema Grand, Signature preferrably 405 x 5, but the basic 200w X 5 will do just fine! An Emotiva amp would be another amp I would consider.
Just an opinion.

Regards.

A little bit of an update -- same from my pics from speaker sugestions thread -- since I sold the SMS-1, I moved the power centers into the AV cabinet. And the more obvious new additions being the Pioneer PRO-111FD display and the Paradigm Studio 60 V.5 fronts....
