some of you might have read my other thread, but if not i am upgrading my home network to gigabit.
i pretty much need everything (switch, router ect..) ive been looking at "business grade" switches as opposed to the "consumer grade" ones... i would kind of like to future proof my network, for a few months anyhow lol. so i was thinking, why not get a dedicated router/firewall/switch like the Cisco RVS4000 then add an access point... that way if wireless technology changes i just have to replace my access point...
or should i go the all in one route... like the Cisco WRVS4400N...
it appears either way is going to cost about the same... so there is no real cost savings...
