And If I moved to another country, I would learn their language. I would respect their customs. I would be grateful for the second chance.
Are you gaining a perspective yet?
You don't get it and probably never will. Respect is a concept that is foreign to you.
Truth stings and I won't be offering my opinion anymore, even though it is my right.
Enjoy being oblivious.
I'm taking the high road now.

High road? I didn't insult you by saying that respect is a concept that is foreign to you. I didn't call you oblivious. All I did was say my peice as you did. But for some reason that makes me disrespectful and puts you on the high road. I'm thinking you need to check yourself before you accuse others of what may be within you instead of them.
I guess I'm on the low road now?

Been there, done that.

How do you feel about 100 F while the humidity is around the same number%?
18 months on Luzon. Along with the heat and ginormous spiders, typhoons suck.

Didn't the lizards eat the spiders for you? I remember asking wifey, "Are those lizards on the walls real?" She told me, "Yeah, they eat the bugs. We like them."

Back on topic: As you know, my wife does a fine job of speaking English. She past her citzenship test (which does include questions on speaking and writing in English) about a month ago. Still waiting on her swear in date.

The spiders I had to deal with in those warehouses ate small mammals and picked their teeth with their bones.

Oh, I thnk she'll be doing some serious swearing sometime in August. ...Most likely at you. :D

Here's a friendly word of warning : Make sure your groin is not within her reach when it happens.

Seriously, Tell her good going. We're proud of her.

I said swear-in, not swear at.
She already does the latter every time she tries to stand up.

So, now what are the illegals doing, they are now heading outward to other hospitals and guess what will happen there? My sister and I both work in healthcare (she in Tucson) and she was telling me how a nurse of hers ruptured a tendon in her leg and had to wait a month in pain, to see a specialist. Had to jump through hoops with her insurance carrier and worked in severe pain till she could see a doctor. What makes this story interesting? This same nurse was caring for 10 illegals who while being chased and shooting at border agents, crashed their car. They were immediatly taken to a hospital, saw a doctor immediatly and are now laying in a hospital bed getting free pain medication, free service and a free hopsital stay, while this nurse has to struggle to pay her deductable, work a month in agony because she can't see a doctor right away, while caring for these free loaders. And this is just one case, think of the millions of illegals here and you kinda get the perspective of how they are going to turn us into a third world country and they just laugh about it.
Why do we allow illegals to use our hospitals, schools, and other public services at all? I see no reason not to require proof of citizenship (or at least a passport, in the case of a medical emergency.)

Might be a humanitarian thing not to turn away any human in need. But it's probably being abused.

It's the law, no person can be turned away with a medical condition for lack of insurance or money. The illegals know this hence why when their kid gets a bruise on their knee, they go right to ER and get free healthcare. Where as you and me would go and it would cost us 100.00 minimum with insurance and we would have to pay otherwise get a ding on our credit. The illegals don;t care about credit score so they don't pay. And heaven forbid you refuse an illegal, they would sue the hell out of the facility and win millions. Look at the incident where the illegal got shot at the border after a border guard was being assualted with rocks by illegals while trying to cross. The agent while defending himself from being stoned, shot one of the illegals and the family back in Mexico sued and won millions. Guess the jury felt an illegal who had been in our country less than 10 minutes, who was assualting an officer with heavy rocks had more rights than the border agent who lived here all his life while trying to defend himself.

Here's a stat, I found interesting, at the beginning of Jan 2008, a law was passed that made any business hiring an illegal in Maricopa County a felony with a warning the first time and forfeiture of business and license on the second offense. So businesses stopped hiring illegals and a national data base was implemented to check on this. So what happened here in AZ, most of the illegals coulldn't find work and something amazing happened. The illegals left to other states that didn't honor the new database. Crime dropped by 50% in Maricopa County, not 10 not 20 but 50% drop in crime.

The things that make you go Hmmmmmmm.

Maricopa county had the right idea! We should make that a national law!

It is also time to change the law regarding medical care so that proof of being in the US legally is required for treatment. I, for one, am damned sick of illegals getting free services that the rest of us have to pay for. I understand the humanitarian point of view, but there is a limit to how much charity can be abused before it needs to be withdrawn.
