New JTR Triple 8s

JTRs come out with 98dB/watt, 129dB, 1200watt power handling speakers. Time to order some amplifiers.

1200 msrp, with a 900 dollar pre-order.

They'll make 'em with posts, speakon, with grills, fly hardware, etc.

He is making them with interchangeable coaxial speakers so you can have them floorstanding, flown, on a stand, etc.

Obviously Jeff has taken customer input into this new design (the interchangable drivers, efficiency, size, grills) ... its cool to see grassroots speaker design back.

I just ordered a pair to use as surrounds with my T12LF's. Should be a little better sonic match than my Revel in-walls.

My LCR's have been carrying a heavy load in my HT for a while now. No big deal for movies, but the power handling and efficiency advantages of the JTR's over my in-wall surrounds are noticeable with MC music. It will be nice to have surrounds that can keep up.
