Need help on sub build?

I am going to build a sub i want it to outperform the ultra13, i listem to both music and HT prob. 50/50, i have a PB12/2 NSD now.

Congrats on getting ready to build your own! Did you have questions about the design, hardware, or construction...or are you just preparing us for the awesome photos of your build that you'll be posting? :) That's not sarcastic, btw. I like seeing those pictures.

Yea i guess what matiral to get and what sub would be the best, i want this one to really put you back in your seat, so i need a list of what i need to buy, i want a really kick -ss woffer and would prefer front firing. I plan on buying the parts tomorrow.

Either of these drivers should get the job done. 3/4" mdf or baltic birch plywood are the cabinet materials of choice. Someone more experienced than me can recommend some cabinet dimensions for these drivers.

A behringer ep 2500 should be sufficient to power them. Add in an eq, and you will have a sub that surpasses the Ultra 13.

If money is no object then the 15" Axis would be great. If size is no object along with money then the LMS would be even better.
