Bingo. I totally agree. Spending tax payer money to dress appropriately at events is fine by me, but $540 for designer shoes does not fit my definition of appropriate for volunteering at a food bank. If it's her money - more power to her.

I could go on and on about how I can't understand why anyone would pay that much for shoes, but I need to get back to recommending my $1400 subwoofer to some new members.

Me jealous? That's funny, I don't envy money or the way its spent. I was very lucky to grow up very well to do and have made and lost more money than many have seen, I respect the value of hard earned money. Glutney and Sloth are still sins in the eyes of some. If the Os want to spend their money anyway they want that's fine, just don't tell me what to do with mine..... That's your irony.
