Kappa perfect vs. Cadence 15"

The Kappa Perfect sub has a superbly linear driver with low power compression and a superb cabinet with no port compression. So, you want to compare this to a low cost budget retail sub? There is no way the Cadence will be anywhere near comparable. Talk to Jamie2112. He built the Kappa Perfect DIY sub and has compared to many different retail subs.

Inertia If you want to go the DIY route the Kappa will CRUSH that Cadence. I am not messing around the Kappa build is freaking amazing sounding(even without a crossover). I can 110% recommend this build to anyone wanting outstanding performance and sound for 1/5 the price of a sub that will match it.....I have yet to hear anything that touches it myself......Chris is da man IMO.

Inertia, if you want something more powerful than the Kappa DIY, you should use a driver that exceeds it's output ability and remains linear while doing so. Refer to JL W7 drivers or TC Sounds/Audiopulse drivers for solutions that will definatly give more SPL while retaining the same SQ, assuming a well designed cabinet system.

I have a kappa perfect diy sub and really want to compare it to another sub. How would this sub compare to the kappa perfect?

Or would another sub in this price range compare better?
I had the Cadence for about a week. I got it when the Live cashback was 30%.
I ran it for a week and sold it. It didn't compare in any way to my HSU 3.3.
I have built the Kappa and not only does it compare to the HSU but the quality is better as well.

Also I read on one of the AVS Cadence threads that the Xmax of the Cadence was 7.

I think I understand your logic. You just want to show off how much better it is.

By all means the 15" would be a good victim to demonstrate to a buddy that your sub is better than a 15":)

Yes I want to see how badly my kappa will blow away something in the same price range. I was wondering how other subs compared but I guess its way out of the league of other subs in its price range, which makes me happy to own one! I had a Dayton sub before this and the kappa blows it away.

If your sub is blowing other subs away the port must be too small. :) That's why the air is coming out so fast. :p

Sorry I can't resist the humor even in this.
