Everyone keeps saying give him time... let him get his legs and all that. I'm not even opposed to that. The problem however for me is that in these frist 100 days, he's rushed into unprecedented action that has a dramatic impact on many facets of our day to day lives and our future. He's flat out broken many of the promises he said seperated him from the typical Washington insider and has flip flopped and has found himself painted in corners due to the rush to do things... untested and clearly not always well thought out. For me, it looks like amatuer hour... which would be okay... but he's making decisions at the speed of a well-seasoned leader with tons of executive experience.. both of which he clearly has no comparative to. I'm appalled he made the CIA strategies public and has repeatedly taken swipes at the former President... something that is just not done. Presidents are supposed to have the utmost respect for the office and not do that. So far, the only one's I know who have done it regularily are Obama and Carter. I simply can't believe he released that information then flip-flopped and kept the door open that Bush could still somehow be prosecuted.
It'll be interesting when the next president takes office. I'd like to see what seedy underhanded, back room deals, that could be made public. I trust though, the next president, whomever he is, will not stoop to those measures, especially if there's any possibility it would put our country or our soldiers at greater risk.
So far, the only thing I get from this President, is that he's a natural born politician. Nothing more. He's brilliant in front of his teleprompter, not so much without it. He's not as sharp as the image portrays and he still needs to rely on the media to help cover him. The situation between GE, who owns MSNBC, and the future of green energy projects that could bring the company millions if not billions through cap and trade and other legislation has gone largely undiscussed. For all the cane raised about Haliburton, who often times was the only company who could even fullfill the offered contracts, the left has gone ironically silent on this latest controversey with this new president. Odd.
