Sin City BD

Got my Sin City BD yesterday, (it arrived in 1 day from Amazon!).

Apparently there's about 20 minutes of extra material on the extended cut version. I just watched a few parts and it looks pretty good, but not a very big quality difference from the DVD.

One bonus though, it came with a $10 rebate coupon inside. Just clip the proof of purchase off the DVD and the BD and mail 'em in, and they send you $10!! I bought the BD regardless, but with the $10 rebate, the BD only ends up costing $14! Pretty sweet.

Jessica Alba in leather chaps in high def. Yyuuuummmmmmm.

I haven't sat down and watched the whole thing yet. On the extended cut, it's set up so that you watch each individual story in it's entirety, instead of in sections. I did notice one new scene in the Marv and Goldie story, where he goes back home I guess and picks up his old gun and has a conversation with an old lady, (not really sure what was happening, I was fast-forwarding).

Maybe there's an extra scene where Jessica Alba gets naked!!! Hey I can dream can't I?

I didn't reall notice anything at all. I read that about 1/3 of the total 20 min extra was in the CREDITS. How lame is that?

I found a big difference in video quality between DVD and BD versions. I swear on the BD version, some scenes look 3D. I think it's an absolutely stunning visual treat on BD.

This was one of the better looking discs on DVD, especially upscaled, but on BD it is just eye popping, even the scenes that don't have Jessica or that other freaking hot chick (his doctor).

Carla Gugino. I've liked her since The One. Too bad Threshold got cancelled.
