Correct 'Corner Sub' placement

I understand it needs to go in the corner, right? -But my question is-
should it be Facing the wall ? Or facing the center of the room.?
Room size→ 24 x 18. High ceiling ! (2 story, open to second story ceiling).

You should put one sub in the corner of every room. And one mid point on every wall. Facing into every room. :)

Actually I don't suggest corner loading a sub for movie watching usually the localization is really bad that way. The crawl test is the way to do it right. Look it up and yes you want the subs waves hitting you not the wall so aim that hole at your face(seriously)

It isn't usually as simple as placing it in the corner; you will have to do some experimentation to see where it sounds the best, as recommended by lsiberian. My room is 23x14 with a high angled ceiling and placing it squarely in the corner gave me poor results. 1ft to the left from the corner made a BIG difference.
