Hi everybody, I dont have the money to buy both speakers and receiver.

Could I buy the receiver and use a Logitech Z2300 self powered 2.1 half a year until have the money to buy the speakers.

- Receiver don't burn out ?,
- What features ( Equalizer, Pure direct, Using Bass... ) I miss using this config ?
- What is forbiden ?
- Any receiver with Tape out or VCR out works ?

 Trully thanks

Why not wait the half year and then buy them both?

I don't suggest you buy a receiver yet. I suggest saving up and waiting until you can do it right. No need to rush. Use the time to listen and see what you like. Then when you have the funds buy.

Onkyo TX-SR507 zone 2

My first choice could be: Onkyo TX-SR507

Zone 2 is suitable for Powered Speaker, I think I could use only zone 2, turning Off zone 1.

Pros/Cont ????

That is a 100 dollar receiver with very little power and very few features. While budget is important. I suggest a step up to the Marantz 4002 at accessories4less. Its 240ish but is the bottom of the HDMI receiver list and believe me you will want that later on.

However I suggest you save up. Remember a Patient man has great understanding.

YOU need preamp outs to use powered speakers. Cheap receivers don't have those.

Thanks

Yours words make me think....

Well actually I have near $2000 but work is first, and this money is for a MCSA (Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator).

I hope a better job let me save for the Maratz and a great 2.1 (as my initial step to become audioholic.)

Trully thanks.
