i don't have em yet. i found that i can have boxs larger than i thought. not that i want em that large. but i do want quality output.

this saturday, i am going to a somewhat local get together, 1 1/2 hr away.
bunch of real subs, projector, etc. i will then hear what i have never heard/seen before. should be interesting.

The Infinity Kappa Builds are real subs and I am sure my own personal builds will blow away almost anything and I built them myself,how good that sounds.

power them with a Behringer EP series amp and no more.

yeah. i would like to have em running this coming weekend. hopefully the boxs will be built today. then get the drivers and cut the holes. etc. picking cables etc right now. i have a line on a used 2495 for $190. and "maybe" an amp for about the same.

Be careful with the used 2496 as you may have read there may be an issue with mine,the crackling distortion noises when increasing the master volume OP advised me that this is a common defect in the DCX.I wish I bought mine from an authorized dealer like zzsounds they would have shipped me a new one by now.mine seems to work fine when I set the volume and leave it alone,its just when I am increasing the db's.

my old yamaha receiver had a crackling issue when the volumn was moved. if i were you, i would try another reciever on it first. but thanx for the tip.

would that be the kappa perfect 12 ? if that is correct. it says i need a 4cf box, and it only shows round ports. of cource, i may not be doing it right.
