I have been building my HT for about 2 years slowly, im only 22, so takes a bit longer for me. I have recently purchased the TS6112T-HT from The Speaker Company to add with my Yamaha HTR-5860 Reciever and 50" Samsung PN50A450. Has anyone used the any of the TSAT1000SB, TSAT2000SB, or T250 Subwoofer. Are they a good addition with my yamaha? For 750 bucks they seemed like a steal for a 7.1 HT speaker package. And also i will be purchasing a blu-ray player in the next 6 months(after i recover from the 750 dollar set back), what would be a nice blu-ray player to add to my setup?

Given the connectivity of your receiver, I would suggest either a Panasonic BD55 or Sony S550. They're more expensive but they have multichannel outputs that you can connect to your receiver's multichannel inputs. These will decode the hi def audio formats and send them analog to your receiver. This way, you won't have to upgrade the receiver any time soon, unless you want to. I'm not sure of the current status of the Oppo universal player. That looks to be a good investment when it's available.

Run HDMI straight to the TV and M/C audio to the receiver and you have everything covered.

Thanks for the suggestion Davemcc, I didn't even think about going with a blu-ray player with M/C output so i can enjoy DD new format without upgrading my reciever, was just going to settle for the good ole DD or DTS when available. My TS6112T-HT package from The Speaker Company arrives on Wednesday, can't wait!!! Once again, can anyone give me a good review on tSc?(hopefully not a bad one...)

The Panny is not cheap and I don't see any discounts on them. The new Panny line 60 and perhaps another one is around $250 at Amazon if it has the same connections as the 55.

from what i've read, you can't go wrong with a PS3, plus you get everything else the PS3 does for only an extra $100

On edit: I didn't factor in the connectivity with your reciever, this may be a problem with the PS3
