I watched this on CNN this morning. The reporter start arguing with the people in the crowd. One exchange went this way:

CNN: Why are you protesting?
Protester: High Taxes and Govt. Spending.
CNN: But don't you want to get a refund from Obama and the Govt.?
Protester: Not if we have high National debts and more job losses.
CNN: But you should want the government's money?
Protester: I want the government to stop spending.

CNN: "Well, it looks like we just have a bunch of white, angry people that do not know what they are protesting." WTF:confused:

That is not a joke, she actually said this. It was funny to see her try and argue instead of report.

Media, Media, Media....:( Im trying not to discuss politics but its so damm hard not to. This country is going to end up divided if a 3rd legitament party isnt brought forward. Both current political parties are being driven by extremist and need to be put in check. Im a staunch Repuplican and cant stand the politics of politics

add these two

I strongly disagree with this statement based on a case study comparing our democracy with Germany. In Germany they have many parties as a result coalitions are formed to establish the government. One such coalition gave rise to the Green Party who tried to shut down all the nuclear power plants, and banned the use of cans. This example demonstrates the empowering of extremist parties is a major problem with a multi-party system.. By having only two parties that exclude others we are shielded from these types of extreme ideas and senseless laws.

What will shield us from a bias, and senseless news media?

Getting back on topic. What do you think of CNN's racist comment?

I guess the Tea party in San Antonio yesterday had somewhere between 10k-15k people show up. Pretty impressive turn out.

I think it's on target and highlights many issues in our world. Many whites oppose equality and support institutional racism. These examples can be seen in our court system and school system. One fact we have more blacks in prison proportionally than whites. Another our corporations have routinely started conflicts in Africa and used them to steal resources see the Diamond trades, and look up Talisman Energy.

Also look up the discrimination against Arabs. I knew one guy who was severely mistreated.

CNN is a news service that aims to Liberals while Fox is a news service that aims to conservatives. Neither is unbiased and both give their audiences what they want to hear.

What's racist about "white angry people"?

Had the crowd been mostly black people, as it was mostly white people, and they were angry, it wouldn't be racist to say "black angry people" either.

Racism is derogatory. What exactly has ever been derogatory about the words black, white, or angry? There's too much PC in today's world.

Personally I found it interesting that most of the crowds were in areas with little racial diversity. Correlation between race and those who can afford to not work perhaps? Just speculating, flames not necessary but I'm doning my suit to prepare for the inevitable.

How bout if I say "There were mobs of f*cking morons." Am I prejudiced against the moronic, or those who fornicate, or maybe those who fornicate with the moronic? Perhaps, morons who fornicate even...

The one in San Antonio was at the Alamo which is in a business district downtown.

Well that's because more black people commit crimes than white people. *chuckle* This world really makes me laugh...

Another our corporations have routinely started conflicts in Africa and used them to steal resources see the Diamond trades, and look up Talisman Energy.
How else are we going to get jewels for materialistic societies??? Oh yes, more laughter...

Also look up the discrimination against Arabs. I knew one guy who was severely mistreated.
That's how we treat terrorist scum in the good ole Red, WHITE, and Blue! America, F*CK YEAH!

*sigh* I'm gonna go read a few more chapters in Sun Tzu's The Art of War or Jon Lee Anderson's Che...

Not really sure of how the majority of your post relates with the Tea Party and CNN's comment.
Seems to be a case of 'Not seeing the forest, for the Trees'

While it 'may' be on target. (as you say) It's racist nonetheless.
Accuracy and racism aren't mutually exclusive.

While I agree all media is bias; FOX seems to be out numbered.

I must commend you for even acknowledging, "CNN is a news service that aims to Liberals"

What does a person's skin color have to do with protesting taxes?

Areas like Trenton, NJ?

That would just fine for you, or me to say.
It's not a statement expected from an , Unbiased News Reporter.

Exactly, what does it have to do with it? Why argue about it being brought up? All this PC BS needs to go away already. She said something out of place and unnecessarily descriptive, that doesn't make it or her racist.

Areas like Trenton, NJ?
And take a look at who showed up.

Picture is worth how many words? I didn't see any tea parties, protests, or public displays in my home city, NEWARK NJ. Why might that be? I'm curious as to what you think.

Don Imus was fired, and he's a comedian
He shouldn't have been, period. If they had nappy hair, which some of them did since I know a couple of Rutgers female ball players, and they were promiscuous, again I know a couple... then he was well within his right to correctly describe them! Just because something is not in good social taste doesn't make it wrong or racist.

Rickster, I debate based on what you say and your beliefs. Don't equate public sentiment or media coverage with what I say or I believe. I couldn't care less what she said on TV, I just have my belief of it and you have yours. You think it was racist, I do not, and neither of us should consider anyone else's thoughts on it if we are the ones discussing it. Let's respect each other by addressing each other.
