UNBELIEVIBLE!
I wanted to like this president. I tried to overlook how his promises were nothing like what was actually happening. I wanted him to be the one guy who actually cared about the "people", but I'm no fool!!!
This man cares about furthuring his perverted aganda above all else.
There was actually a list sent out to Homeland security and local police depts. today saying conservative and right leaning folks are security risks.
Sorry I don't have the particulars but after hearing the news this morning I've been so mad I can't take in any more.
These guys won't say terrorist or war on terror but they will say anyone who believes in states rights are dangerous.
How did things get so turned around? It was liberals/progressives who fought against integration, yet they are held up as fighting for minorities. They also are known as the tolerant, accepting ones yet while being very tollerant and accepting of our enemies, would have law enforcement keep a close eye on american citizens who don't agree with them.
It seems you guys think uppity americans who dare to disagree with you are more dangerous than those who declare death to America!
We may not like what you say but would defend your right to say it, while you seem to want anyone who disagrees with you to be shut up by the government or any means neccessary.
Other than approved thought is not allowed.

Wow you must be new around here.

It is common practice for our government no matter what party is in charge to put people who speak out against them on a "watch list" or what ever.

I wonder why any government would fear someone who says things like this?

"Taxes are a joke. Regardless of what a political candidate "promises," they will increase. More taxes are always the answer to government mismanagement. They mess up. We suffer. Taxes are reaching cataclysmic levels, with no slowdown in sight ... "

"It is a lie if we tell ourselves that the police can protect us everywhere at all times. Firearms restrictions are bad enough, but now a woman can't even carry Mace in her purse?"

"Go ahead, take everything I own; take my dignity. Feel good as you grow fat and rich at my expense; sucking my tax dollars and property"

"The government is afraid of the guns people have because they have to have control of the people at all times. Once you take away the guns, you can do anything to the people. You give them an inch and they take a mile. I believe we are slowly turning into a socialist government. The government is continually growing bigger and more powerful, and the people need to prepare to defend themselves against government control."

Oh, who said that and what harm could they really do?

Yes dave, that is what I was talking about.
I just heard a bit on the news. Thanks for making the entire outrage easily available.
I thought I was hot yesterday but reading the whole thing is down right scary.
Do you think all the folks yelling about the rights of enemy combatants will stand up for our own citizens in this case? They should be lining up now since their main concern is peoples rights, right?

I never worry about the enemy I can clearly see and who makes themselves known. I worry about the enemy I don't see and who hides among us, plotting under the guise of patriotism and freedom...

"The American Legion is well aware and horrified at the pain inflicted during the Oklahoma City bombing, but Timothy McVeigh was only one of more than 42 million veterans who have worn this nation’s uniform during wartime. To continue to use McVeigh as an example of the stereotypical “disgruntled military veteran” is as unfair as using Osama bin Laden as the sole example of Islam." - American Legion national commander, David K. Rehbein

Mr. Rehbein is absolutely correct in his assertion that McVeigh is not representative of the American military veterans that Homeland Security now considers a threat. Furthermore, McVeigh is not representative of the average American homeowner, worker and consumer that is finding their government introducing new programs, regulations and onerous taxes that benefit them in no conceivable way. DHS now considers about half of the US voting population as security risks. They're called Republicans.

I'd hope not, the day dead men can own homes, work, and go out shopping is the day I GTFO of here. Then again, apparently dead men can vote...

This post just made my day. Some republicans are so funny. Partisanship is very dangerous, but as long as we keep em from dividing the actual country we'll be okay.

Edit - Here is a PDF of the DHS report that I think may be the source of this topic.

:rolleyes:Uh-huh...

I was just trying to point out that there are extremists on all sides, in all parties, all religions, and from all walks of life. What they say on their soap box may sound innocent enough, might even be exactly what you are thinking. Many of them uses issues like this to get people all riled up and join there cause.

But you have to be careful of who you follow some of these people have bigger things in mind then just getting a break on taxes.

I am not partisan nor am I a republican. I am registered as an independant and live and vote as a pragmatist.
Is there anything in my post that is untrue? NO!

The dept of Homeland Security is a joke and a farce. When it comes to real national security issues such as border security and extremist Islamic training camps right here on U.S Soil they completely drop the ball. Watch out for those damn republicans that exercise the 1st amendment however.

Isn't it ironic that the safest place for America's enemies to train is on American soil?

President Obama finally came out and said today for the first time as President that he supports the Assault weapon ban in the name of protecting Mexico from U.S gun-traffickers. ...and not 30 seconds later completely acknowledged that it's already illegal to traffic weapons across international borders.

I'm so flippin pissed right now.

There's nothing wrong with what you posted here but when he seriously though about blowing up anything, he crossed the line and never went back. There are too many other ways to get attention to justify killing 68 people in a Federal Building.
