Hi,

I recently ran into an interesting dilemma while purchasing some Bi Polar Tower speakers on ebay. There the definitive technology BP2002TL model and the subwoofer is built in. What I found out is that the warehouse only has Two Left speakers...the question is do I continue with the transaction? How affected will the sound be having two left speakers? The only difference on each tower is the subwoofer placement and they would be facing both the same side in the two different front corners of the room? Please help I need to decide quick!

Thanks in advance,
Eric

Thats a tough one.I myself would not do the transaction. I would wait and find a serial pair.....Just my opinion.....

Well, I don't think I would feel too comfortable.

Speaker placement in a room can make a big difference. Having two asymmetric speakers placed in a symmetric configuration will probably yield a difference between left and right channels.

Also, what works for you today (if it works) may be a limiting factor if you move to a different room layout in a different house or apartment. I just see it as limiting your possibilities in the future and having buyer's remorse.

I would be interested in hearing some other opinions on this first, but since you "can't wait", I would probably pass on them.

These were my initial thoughts as well. Also if I was ever going to sell them second hand down the line it would greatly reduce their value. I have about a day or so to decide....its just that I got them at a drastically reduced price new in box, I think they originally retail for 1100 a speaker so thats 2200 (granted they are a model from 1999 and the current worth is likly maybe 1500, I won the bid for 875 shipped for two and they were willing to comp the 75 to ship it due to only having two lefts. But the more I think about it I really do not want too lefts but still am open to others opinions- thank you for replying
