Clean your garage man....

Ok, this garage has gotten out of hand. I took Frday afternoon off and got started on organizing and cleaning, then worked most of the afternoon yesterday. Nothing too fancy but I did get to use my little jig saw. Just a few more things and I will post the after shot.

I love going through other peoples junk. Honestly when I look in your garage I see space, lots of space. All I can think of is a standard mounted shelf system to create more space. What are those cans hanging by the water heater?

My neighbor just put up an Elfa self system so I can't do a standard mounted shelf system as my has to look better than his. We don't have that much stuff in the garage so I am able to get it all into just a nice little area or two.

Those are Miller beer cans hung on some wood...what else would it be?

Here is the right side almost complete just need a little more clean up and then stain the work top and put away the extra wood.

If you think that's cluttered, you're a sick, sick man. You should see some of the garages I drive past, all over town. Chock full of crap- two and sometimes three car garages, completely full. Couldn't get a bike in there, let alone a car. Sometimes, they buried the car with it and you can't see it at all. Some of these are in very high-end areas, too. I can't understand it. My garage has too much in it, but I don't really have any other place to put it since I can't build a shed on my lot and I'm not going to rent a storage building.

The cabinets are DIY from Lowes, they are of pretty decent quality and a little too expensive. They came in a box with all the stuff you need to build them out. I could have gotten some pre-fabed, unfinished cabinets from HD for a lot less but I wanted to build something on my own as I am trying to improve my handyman skills.

First the kitchen, and now this. Your "before" picture on the kitchen puts mine to shame. Your "before" picture on your garage makes mine look like that warehouse from Raiders of the Lost Ark.

I should take a picture of mine, just to show off the original box from my 27" TV.

Heh... I'm buying a shed and putting all my crap in it. It's amazing all the junk people collect and just can't rid themselves of. Nothing I like more than a neat and tidy garage.
