I have one pair of Wharfedale Evo 30, in the real wood veneer Rosewood Finish.

These speakers are relatively brand new (only 7 weeks old). I am the original owner. I bought them brand, spanking new 7 weeks ago.

I'm selling them because I went overboard in trying many speakers out and I have way too many speakers in the house.

These speakers function perfectly and the finish is perfect all around, except for one half inch ding on the back of one of the speakers; which occured during shipping. It's not visable unless you get up close to the back of the speaker. Otherwise, when they are setup ....you can't see it.

I'm asking $450.00 USD for the pair, we split shipping within the USA. Shipping outside of the USA will be determined on your location and cost of shipping to your location.

Prefer US Postal Service Money Orders.

Thank you, adk!

I will get some pictures up as soon as possible. I need help in moving them around (car accident injuries) and I have to wait for my buddy to come over tomorrow and help. Right now they're in my office safely snuggled away and facing the wall.

When he comes over I'll ask him to pull them out and turn them around for pics.

Thank you afk and Jamie!

But the link Jamie provided is to the newer Evo2 Series. I have the Evo 30 speakers.

Below are two pictures of the Evo 30. The speakers in these pictures are not mine. They are pictures I found on the internet. But these are the exact speakers I have. The finish is almost identical, except the grain is slightly different. Color is exactly the same.

My friend won't be coming over till later tonight. So I'll get the pics up as soon as possible. But these pics up above are an accurate representation.

Were you able to get some pictures taken of your speakers? I'd love to see them. Thanks.

I apologize for the delay in getting the pictures up. But I can't move them.

I have to have someone do it for me.

My buddy has been very busy lately and I don't want to be a bother. He's helped me so many times the last five months. I feel like a PITA asking him to go out of his way. Once that guy canceled his listening session with the Evo 30, I told my buddy not to worry about it because he's so busy.

I did take some pictures in their current location, which is the back of my office, facing the back wall. But the lighting is so bad back there. The pictures came out awful. If you want to see the awful pictures, I can post them. But they are bad.

He said he wanted to come over and hang out some time this week. So I hope to have some better pictures this week.

Did you get those from LaneMart?
I was looking at those too but didn't pull the trigger.
What are you keeping in favor of these?

Yes, I bought them from LaneMart.

I have several speakers (several are floorstanders and several are bookshelf speakers) that I'm keeping and some that I'm selling. I have too many.

Out of the floorstanders, as the Evo 30 are; I'm keeping my Wharfedale Opus 2, Jamo C807 and Jamo C607.

How would you compare the Jamo 607 and the evo 30's? I know what the Jamo's sound like and am considering these ( evo 30)for a second system....

Hmmmm.....tough one, here. I'll try my best.

The Evo 30 have a sort of .....thicker sound, speaking in terms of timbre. A little warmer compared to the C607. The C607 have a slight touch of warmth.

They are a little polite or should I say.......they have a laid back prensentation. Not a slam-in-your-gut type of speaker. They are similar to the C607 in that way. But I would say the C607 is just a hair more dynamic.

Bass response is very good in both the C607 and Evo 30. Although, I like the C607 a wee-bit better in that.

Both are very musical speakers and they are smooth. Personally, I think the C607 is a wee-bit smoother. Which doesn't mean the Evo 30 isn't smooth, it is. But the Evo 30 has just a slight touch of crispiness to it's sound.

It's so hard to describe the differences. I like the Evo 30 a lot. But when it comes down to it, I already have the Jamo 60 Center Channel and the C603; so that leaves me with a lot more options if I want to do something else with the C607 in the family room. And I wouldn't have to buy any other Center Channel or rears.

Ultimately I have to sell some of my excessive speakers collection. So The Evo 30 go.

And the Jamo's just have the sound I really like. A sound that suits my own personal tastes/preferences, just a little bit more than the Evo 30.

How do you like those Opus 2's?
Could you compare them to the 30's for me? I've heard the 30's.
Are your 2's piano black?

I love my Opus 2!!! I've had them for over four years, now. And I have no interest in getting them out of my system. No speaker has been able to displace them. Yes, Piano Gloss Black.

The Opus 2 are on a completely different level from the Evo 30 (and they're much more expensive, too). Not really a fair comparison.

The Opus 2......Smooth, clean, BIG, smooth, a nice touch of warmth, smooth, dynamic, so very musical and so very sweet sounding. Did I mention they're so smooth?:):D

The presentation is so much larger and so much more palpable, than the Evo 30. The midrange (with the 3 inch dome midrange speaker, which is a partial horn-loaded design) is fantastic ......beautiful with vocals...guitars....everything.

Again, this is not a knock against the Evo 30. We're not comparing apples to apples, here. This is an apple to strawberry comparison.

mmm... piano gloss black.
Thanks for the review.
I noticed the Diamond 9.6 has a dome mid, probably not the same one. Do you know? Do you know how much improvement from Opus 1 to Opus 2?
I had some a/d/s speakers with a sweet soft dome mid + tweeter combo, very smooth. I think you may have mentioned that word in your post somewhere.

You're Welcome.

I have never listened or auditioned to the Diamond 9.6. The midrange dome speaker on the 9.6 is a two incher. So no, it's not the same as the three inch dome midrange, on the Opus 2.

Do you know how much improvement from Opus 1 to Opus 2?
You're refering to the original series Opus 1 model compared to the original series Opus 2 model, correct? Or are you asking about how the original Opus Series compares to the second Opus2 Series?

As for the original series Opus 1 model compared to the original series Opus 2 model, there's a bit of difference and improvement. Deeper bass, bigger, fuller sound with the Opus 2. But the Opus 1 are very nice speakers, too.

Depending on what you'd be using them for and if you're one who has a subwoofer or two in your system, the Opus 1 would be just fine.
