Need serious help, Newbie ? Home theatre 5.1

I am trying to decide between the Infinity Primus P362 floor speakers and of course the others, meaning two rears and one center of the same line. Or buying the Infinity Primus P252 which I believe were an earlier model. I currently have a Bose acoustimass system with the 5 small cube speakers (no center). My reciever is pioneer 5.1. I also have a 10' pyramid subwoofer.

Questions would be which Infinity line, or is there a better line or make for the same money?

And will this be a better system than the Bose I currently have. Looking for all around better sound quality, crisp for music, and also for movie watching.

Please don’t take offense, but anything will be an improvement over your current speakers.

As for what will sound best to you…only you can decide that. You should audition as many speakers as you can get your “ears” on in order to make a good decision. Ideally, this would be done in home with your equipment.

The P362s are nice. I suggest you get those if you want them.

They will be a huge upgrade from any Bose system period. Bose speakers might make ok surrounds, but they stink at mains duty. Literally they only play half the audible range of sound. What's your budget? We might be able to suggest a nice system. Maybe you could sell the Bose?

I am wanting to spend around 800-900. ( I can get Infinitis for this price) I already have sub and reciever. Just need (2-Floors, 1- Center, and 2- surround) A freind suggested the Infinity Primus P362 floors and others in same line up. Im new to this, and just wanted to make sure, I get best for my money. Open to reccomendations?

The Primus line is a good line of speakers. Have you listened to them? As has already been said speakers are something that you need to listen to for yourself. What one of may like you may not. That is why there are so many brands out there. If you like the Primus line, go for it. They will definitely sound better than the BOSE You have now.
