HDMI Cable locks or locking cable

Can anyone help me find a solution to locking my monoprice cables to my tv and receiver. The base has to be moved sometimes and it caused cables to break and disconnect.

I have found the following solutions http://www.blueechosolutions.com/hd-ez-lock.php http://www.lindy-usa.com/hdmi-connector-lock/37399.html, but they are not ideal due to where the screw is see my pics.

I am looking for something that attaches and has screws on the side similar to a VGA cable.
Buying $50-$70 locking cables too much $ when you are talking 4-5 cables and I don't think they hold very well.

I have a graveyard of broken HDMI cables, I'm horrible with them. I hate HDMI. It's amazing to me that they couldn't have thought of something a little more sturdy. Even some locking screws like most computer video cables have. I'm going to buy that item that RMK suggested for running some inwall HDMI cables.

Unfortunately, those are one of the two solutions that were mentioned as being overly expensive.

I know that this has been discussed more than once here. Try a search on it if you haven't already. I recall people mentioning inexpensive solutions. Heck, tape is cheap.
Loctite :D:D I kid, I kid... don't do that. haha.

I just wire tied my HDMI cables tight so that if they get tugged from the other end they won't bend or pull.

The issue is that they bend and flex inside the device, how would tape work  Whatever I would do would have to secure the HDMI to the device and keep it from moving.

I have already broken two of my hdmi monoprice cables.

Honestly, I would just unplug the cable before moving your stuff around (which is just to clean I suppose?). Is that viable???

Monoprice cables are very affordable. What I would be much more worried about are the input HDMI jacks on the components themselves, but that's just me.

Good luck.

another idea: if the runs are very short, try some of the skinnier Mono cables. They will flex easier, affording you more give. When I bought BJC mch wrapped in tech flex, they actually recommend the "lower grade" indeed for the increased flexibility . . . and do I did . . .

Yes, I am more concearned with the connections inside the devices being damaged. It is not always myself that moves the system, so I do need a solution that securely attaches the HDMI cable to the device.

I hadn't seen those port savers before. Cool idea.

FYI, I just checked Monoprice, and they have a wide selection of them for less money.

I checked them and did not see them, can you send the link?

Why is the system moved around so much? I know most of us don't move anything once it's set up. I'm just wondering.

Just search HDMI in the monoprice search. I did and came up with This real quick. They are down the page a bit and all sorts. Just no locking ones that I can see.

Yeah those are not going to work because when the unit is moved then the cord comes out of the receiver. So I still need something that connects via screws like the picture shows, in the same configuration.:)
