Ok I'm not sure quite what they are called. They are foam wedges that you place monitors on and they point the monitor downwards to direct the sound properly. Does anyone know what I am talking about, if so what are they called and how much do they cost?

I'd do something like that, but I don't have the money for new monitors and I don't want these to fall down and break.

Actually the ones from Music 123 give you 4 pads instead of 2 for the same price. Just thought I'd let you know.

umm, it's 4 pieces per set everywhere :) (even the AH store)

(2 per monitor)

set#1

set#2

that gives me an idea though ... i can sell cars with FOUR wheels instead of 2 for the same price.

Audioholics must mean set of 2 (pairs) because that is the only way that Auralex sells them. A single wedge is pretty useless for just about any application, so I would go with that they *may* want to update the site to say 2 Pairs or 4 pads, just a thought.

See? My confusion is always a possibility. And I'm not certain because I haven't measured them, but I think I could fit each monitor on a single pad. Another question, would the users here consider M-Audio AV40s to be monitors or speakers?
