Dawgs mind seems like the best place to be right now. Purple skys and candy couches, I'm in no questions asked.

It's a good think I know what an Ultra sounds like. 9 pages and the only impression is "I'm very impressed so far" ;):p:D. GR, how bout a review...what you are impressed with...how it compares...what you'd like different???

Well I just this afternoon spent some time moving it around, and trying to eq it a little bit, but I'm convinced my listening position is the absolute worst seat in the living room for bass. It sounds good everywhere but where I sit, and there is nowhere that I can move it that will change that unfortunately. But after sitting in some of the other seats, the bass is very smooth, accurate, and powerful. The Ultra just shakes the house and vibrates the plates in the cabinets in the kitchen. It definitely can hit the lows much better than the previous 20-39 PC+ which is by all means no slouch. It is very heavy and difficult to move, but the finish is beautiful, I'm so happy I chose the gloss black. I know one day when I move to a different house, I will try to have a dedicated theater room, and that room will definitely be setup in such a way that the sub sounds good where I am sitting, as well as where everyone else is sitting. I played my LFE demo disc with the darla fish tank scene, and a scene from The Haunting in dts, and it just rattles the windows and vibrates the metal in the fireplace, and beats the crap of of the room, I love it, but there are a lot of rattles that weren't there before. I'm very happy with it, but now I wonder if I would have been better served by the PC13 Ultra since the old cylinder sub sounded pretty good in my listening position. Maybe I'll have to try an SMS-1, or even the new sub EQ from SVS to see if that can help my issues.
