Handles for sub box

Can anyone recommend some good handles that I can put on my sub box.
i am in the process of building it, and it is going to be pretty heavy I figure it will not be easy to move without them.
I am looking for handles that do not stick out, are air tight, and are solid so they dont weaken my box.

Thanks

It is not all about it being heavy, there is nothing to really grab onto and the size is large.
May I ask why you waste your time replying with something that has nothing to do with the questions.
I asked about handles if you have no input regarding handles then why reply?

thanks

Chill out.

This is my favorite way to do it, though I build strictly PA, this will work with any cabinet.

Those curved for a better fit to your hand, but you can make them straight.

I take a 2" hole bit and drill two holes about 4-5" apart, then cut across with a hand saw.

Then make a small box so that it seals the handle and allows your hand to fit, like so.

Because I'm a 2nd born we are always the pestering younger brothers.

Then you can use some very strong round poles to carry the sub to a suitable location. This is by far one of the best methods, but there are also some things movers swear by.

Do you want to move it yourself or in a pair.

Thanks

I am not moving it now but I am just planing for the future. I figure without the handles there is a good chance of it sliping and chipping a corner which will suck.

thanks for you replies.

You should always box your sub before moving it. IMO. And make sure you use styrofoam and if possible a double ply box. Styrofoam come in sheets at Home Depot or Lowes. I sugget getting a good box. And building it like a fortress. The greatest mistake in moving is not packing properly. For just the ocassional move handles are probably not necessary, but a very good place to put handles is on the bottoms of the sub(hidden. I assume your sub has spikes or something similar.

But still box it up nicely. No need to risk hurting it.

I'm trying to think of a way to put real handles on the side, but if it has high weight the handles would need to be very sturdy and well connected.

You talking to me?

My response does have to do with your question. My sub weighs about a million pounds and I can pick it up just fine without handles. I assumed you couldn't secondary to your strength so I suggested a way in which you could....

It's standard with a lot of high dollar pro audio cabinets.

I do to mine as it looks great and saves money.
