Finally pulled the trigger on a piano black PB13 Ultra

My friend just called and said that he is going to buy my PB10-NSD from me tonight, which works out really well since I ordered my new SVS PB13 Ultra yesterday afternoon. I really liked the rosenut, but it wont match anything else in the room, and the piano black will match my audio rack, tv stand, and my def techs, so I decided since I'm going to have this sub for a very long time, I might as well spend the extra money and get the one I really want. I know how good the 20-39PC+ sounds, so I'm really excited to hear the ultra, as I know it won't dissapoint. I can't wait to replay my lfe demo disc and hear all the stuff in the house rattle.

Well the PB10 was in my bedroom, and that is getting replaced with the 20-39 PC+ which is what the ultra is replacing, so while the upgrade is going to be good, it's not THAT good.

I think I'm just as excited about putting the big cylinder in my bedroom as I am about getting the ultra. I'm gonna shake the whole upstairs floor with that thing. Talk about having headroom... my bedroom isn't even all that big.

At least you have enough subs to hold you over for a while. Now I gotta figure out how to use the room eq wizzard software, and possibly invest in an eq. I want the new SVS eq, but it's a lot more than I'm willing to spend on something like that right now.

on getting the ultra, I've always wondered what if. Heh... I'll try and sell my pb10 for a fair price, however if that doesn't work out I'll just pick up another pb10's and run duals.

Dual PB10'S would sound great though !!!

I'm thinking about getting another Ultra and their sub equalizer. I just can't wrap my brain around the $2k price tag, though.

Try harder im sure you can make it reach all the way around , thats what I did to justify needing just one

I really want the sub eq, but even at the preorder price it still doesn't seem worth it to me, unless people start getting theirs and report about the night and day difference it makes, but I just don't see that happening. While I'm sure it does make a great improvement, I'd sooner get an SMS-1 and save some money, unless the SMS-1 isn't up to par with the SVS unit. I guess time will tell, but for the meantime, I'm sure the ultra will make me one happy audioholic.
