Just a few months ago, I started to watch HEROES. Streaming from netflix about 3 to 5 episodes a night to catch up. I have to say, this is one awesome show. Does anyone else watch it and can shed some light on a few theories..??

I’ve watched since the beginning, and I’m current through this season. How far along are you? The answer to your theories may have been answered, but I wouldn’t want to “spoil” any plot twists for you.

first season was great ... but it was downhill from the last episode of the first season.

and they're really digging new lows - i'm up to date though :)

Yeah, I'm up to date as well... Peter gets his powers by touching now... He needs to touch Sylar to get all of his powers back...

I agree season 2 wasn’t too good, but the show is back on track now. The one thing I don’t like is how they keep introducing new characters to carry the plot along, but then they disappear in favor of the main cast. With such a diverse pallet of hero possibilities, why not sprinkle in some other characters, and have them weave into the story line?

There are so many directions the story can go in, I’m getting a little tired of the “us against them” theme. They could do a couple of episodes of people with abilities in other parts of the world (like the girl & her brother from Mexico) and have their stories blend in with the main cast.

I’m also waiting to see how they explain how everyone got their abilities. Were some born with them, or were they all created in a lab?

I did the same thing about a year ago. I started on Lost a little earlier and liked it better. Overall I found Heroes interesting but it failed to really carry the idea and finishing even the first season was hard. Although the season had promised some interesting things by the end it just seemed to continually crescendo but would fizzle before reaching a peak. I gave up on it after a few episodes of season 2.

Lost held me through seasons 1 and 2 quite easily but it started to annoy me in season 3. I got maybe 4 episodes in to season 4 and haven't watched any more since.

Well season 2 was not good because of the writers strike. Can't really blame the show for that... Still an awesome show...

Still watching & liking Lost.:D The guy who plays Ben is very creepy.

I think though there is something we’re not taking into consideration. My wife & I got into renting the 24 series. We would watch 2 or 3 episodes in a row, and it was easy to get burned out doing it this way. Watching a show once a week does two things: It lets the viewer digest all the implications of the plot, discuss with others the show, characters etc. and gives the viewer something to look forward to the next week.

They need to kill off Claire. I hate her character, and the snooty little hoochie that plays her. I haven't watched it in a couple of weeks because she is driving me nuts, then I heard that she is trying to get the Peter Petrelli actor fired and refuses to be on the set at the same time as him because they were an item and he broke up with her because of the age and maturity difference. Oh the drama.

There is truth to that but it depends a lot on the show. When I started watching 30 Rock it was somewhere in the 2nd season so I had to go back and Netflix seasons 1 and 2 to catch up. That went by quickly and I quite enjoyed it.

Lost was also good back-to-back but I really just started to dislike how they handled certain elements of the plot. In fact my issues with heroes or Lost weren't with me burning out but elements of the show itself.

Another show I watched back to back almost a disc at a time some days all the way through and loved was Babylon 5. Burning out is one thing, I just didn't care for the way Lost was handling the jumps in the timeline.

I can't imaging that! Peter is one of the main characters, and whould be better to get rid of Claire, since her ability is really useless.

Some were born with abilities, others were given them. Adam (not sure if that is the character's name) was a couple hundred years old, so he wasn't created in a lab. Season Three really did a lot with explaining who was created and who was natural.

The jumping timeline was OK, but they do need to explain some of the things in those timelines more in depth, i.e. the large statue (which we saw the toes of in an earlier episode) I just really hope the writers don’t take the lame route & try to convince us that “the island” is really Atlantis.

The one show we really got into watching back-to-back was firefly. It was easy not to get too caught up in it, because it only lasted one season, but that’s also the downfall. The movie that came out was very good also, but it’s really too bad the execs at Fox screwed up so badly and the show was canceled before it had a chance to really go anywhere.

Please no thread jacking.... Heroes only. Start a thread about LOST.

First, I watch "Heroes". I even bought the Second Season on blu-ray. And I plan on getting the 3rd Season as well.:D

Second, I think "Heroes" is a total rip-off of X-Men and every other super hero story.

Third, I've thought the writing and stories of "Heroes" have been crap from the beginning. Most of them make no sense. But I still watch every show.:D

What can I say?

I'm a SUCKER.

The only positive thing I can say about "Heroes" is that it is still 100% better than the worst movie of 2009 - "PUSH".:D

Can somebody please just make an X-Men TV series for the next 20 years????:D

Well, either a person is born with abilities or they get them in some other way. Yes, this is a comic book come to life, but that’s no reason not to make a series about it. The super hero element is part of the story, but it’s about the characters, and how their lives have intertwined.

They did – only in cartoon form.

**possible spoiler alert**

So, is Nathan really dead? Knowing how the writers don’t like to write off anyone, I wonder if he’s gone for good?

Yeah... but Sylar is back as him... So he's really not off the show, per-say

So, they keep both actors in the cast, and keep them swapping in and out? I’m thinking the Sylar character will win out, and if so, does the Nathan character (and actor) go away?

The whole killing Nathan and brainwashimng Sylar into thinking he's Nathan is just a bit too far fetched for me. Not that this show has any boundaries for reality.

All they had to do was take Claire's blood and heal Nathan like they did for her step dad when he got shot in the eye.

They could have kept Sylar in a comma to somehow exploit his power at a later date.

I wish it was Peter that died b/c he is such a sucky actor that I cringe with any scene involving him as a main character.
