TSC T250 or Mirage S8 For A Bedroom

Since I moved my VX-10 out of my bedroom and moved it into office I'll eventually need something to replace it. I'm not in a rush because 80% of the time I just watch TV when I use that room. But I'd eventually like a subwoofer to backup the Boston Acoustic CR65 bookshelves and CRC center for the few times that I listen to music or catch a movie. The room is roughly 3300cu ft. I'm torn between these two. Again I can't justify a spending $400 for a Hsu when I'll barely use it. TSC charges sales tax in California so the price is about the same. Has anybody here actually heard the T250?

The 8" 200/800w Mirage or the 10" 250/800w TSC?

Thanks for the suggestions. The STF-1 is rated for up to 2000cu ft and would be struggling room this big. What I haven't been able to find out about the Dayton is how much dynamic power is on tap. As I go forward I'll definitely keep it in mind.
If the Velo VX-10 handled that room, I can't imagine the STF-1 not being able to.

The VX-10 was never asked to do much in the past. The bedroom was basically a place to park the sub until I got around to doing something with that room. Still I'll seriously consider the Hsu.

Ok I'll be the Guinea Pig. Since no one else has any experience with the TSC T250 that's exactly what I'll be. I ordered one today and it should be here early next week since they ship from California. I need something front firing and front ported for under $300 and can't swing (or justify) $500 for an SVS.

I'll write a first impression as soon as I've lived with it for a few days.

The T250 is supposed to be a great sub. I really like my ASW-10. There is a good TSC thread over in the subwoofer forum at AVS. There are even some measurements from someone who picked it up when it first came out.

Hope this helps.

Thank you I'm feeling better about this purchase after reading those threads. Not that I had buyer's remorse, I just wasn't sure what I was getting for my money. If it's as good as hoped I may eventually end up with a second for my office.

My T250 shipped today via FedEx Ground. It only has about a 100 mile trip so it should be here tomorrow (Friday) or Monday. :D

Have you ever fought 100 miles (200 R/T) of LA traffic? That's a full day! 30 miles used to take my two hours each way. Nope I can wait a day. Besides it's just coming for a distribution center. Now I did consider visiting Hsu... that's only a 3-4 hour round trip. :p

I'm thinking that I'll start my testing in my office and see how it compares to the baby Velo. Then maybe move into my bedroom.
