Hello Everyone,

I'm new to this forum so pls bear with me. I'd like to do my first setup for Audio for now. Here's what I have in mind.

Infinity P362 (pair) towers and Velodyne DLS-4000R w/ Denon 2908CI AVR

I can't seem to find much reviews about the Infinity towers nor the Velodyne except for a here and there positive reviews. I was wondering if any of you guys have either of these equipment and could probably shed some light as to their strengths and weaknesses?

Also, would they blend well together especially when hooked to a Denon?

background livingroom setup:

about 350 sq feet living room w/ of course couches, it opens to the living room, kitchen, hallway.

I, would strive to get a 5.1 setup at least but looking to get these components.

Still learning about these crossovers and frequencies, or should I say, the essentials, any links provided would be appreciated.

Thanks!

the Infinity "P" series is well liked by many owners, good remarks on the AVS forums. If you get the towers, go on and get the matching PC350 center channel while they are available. Matching surrounds is not that big a deal, but the front 3 should match (usually this means the tweeters are the same across all three).

What is your budget bud?

It's better to come with a budget and then get suggestions from there. Rather than pick speakers that I think may not be that great.

Primus are good, but Betas are better IMO. Kef iQ5s would be the lowest priced tower I recommend.

Denon makes very good receivers. So I will 2nd that choice.

Velodyne, SVS, HSU all make very good subs IMO.

This is generally recommended, but not always the case. I think for a Center a Coaxial driver should be used regardless of the LR speakers. if the LRs can't keep up then you need to upgrade the LRs.

At the very least a Design with the tweeter above the midrange like the Beta 360 is suggested.

The Pc350 comes close to this design. Still I suggest an iQ2c or iQ6c depending on your budget for a center speaker. If you are highly concerned about matching tweeters. Then get iQ5s.
