Marantz SR-8001

Anyone interested? I've had it since Dec 07, and it has performed flawlessly for me. Everyone knows the specs on it. It's a great receiver but I had upgraditis bite me, so now it's for sale. Originally it was $2k, I'll let it go for $700 + 40 shipping. Paypal preferred, I'll pick up the silly fees.

Let me know soon. I might back out of the upgrade and keep the Marantz, having vivid images of the beat down my wife will inflict upon me.

almost forgot, transferrable warranty until Dec 2010. ;-)

I have the manual, AM antenna, remote, and some extraneous documentation. No original box, but that honestly doesn't matter, does it? I'll make sure it's super well packed.

If it sells by then, then bummer for me & good for you. In any case, you shouldn't have a problem selling the Marantz at that price.

I'm not really inclined to negotiate on price since I'm not really motivated to sell. I was thinking about picking up a Pio SC-05, but having 2nd thoughts.

Ok, I thought about it some more, and I'm putting this back up for sale. A bit wishy-washy, aren't I? ;-) Don't worry, I will commit to the sale if we agree to terms.

My hesitation is that this really is a nice receiver and there isn't that much out there that is a substantial upgrade for a reasonable amount of cash.
