Hey guys....

What would you suggest using for in wall subwoofer interconnect? Preferably from monoprice or Home Depot.

What's the longest run of subwoofer cable that you shouldn't exceed? I bought a 37 footer from BJC, was wondering if it will have any issues due to it's length.

i've used up to 46 feet of RG59 belden cable with no problems :)

though RG6 is better (like bandphan said). RG6 is just stiffer to use.

The run is only 30 or so feet.

Thanks guys!!!

Is there any way I could use CAT5E?

As I am using these and they have patch panel type terminations on them. Like RJ45.

I have a few times but with subs I sometimes picked up a hum (not hummer Mike ) and I was using dx boxes and baluns. Cat5 is easy to run, but hard to trouble shoot without the right gear.

Tried it out and it worked without giving me any humm.....I think thats a good thing in this context. :p

Now will I lose anything by using CAT5E? Or will it be the same as any other SW cable?

Should be zero loss.

Make sure any coax has solid copper center conductor. Copper clad steel is stiffer and will usually compress the dielectric when it bends, decreasing noise rejection abilities and when it's used for video, reducing bandwidth.
