Ok, so middle of this week I just received my Mitsu 60" HD DLP - Tiger Direct had a smoking deal on them.

So what do they do??? Just today, I received an email 2-day special on their 65" HD DLP for $100 more than what I paid for the 60 (it was originally $500 more).

So it looks like I'm going to take advantage of their "Iron Clad" 30-day guarantee and do an exchange.

I will say this - the picture of the DLP is pretty amazing. I have a 42" 1080P LCD and the brightness/contrast is nowhere near as brilliant as the DLP. I couldn't be happier.....well....I could be happier with the bigger one! LOL!

I'm sure they'll take care of you. I personally know their CEO. He'd kill me if I posted his name on here so I won't, but they are a very solid company and have a sound reputation. I used to work for him/them when I was in college.

Yea, Tiger is willing to take the exchange - but here's the catch: I pay the return shipping (of course) and then make up the price difference on the upgrade - but since it's a 48 hour special, they can't guarantee that the price will still be the "special reduced price" by the time my tv is received on their end and the credit is made to my account....figures.

I just keep telling myself...."it's just 5 more inches......."

i don't like tiger direct. their return policy sucks. though i can understand it.

but they did the same thing to me. i bought my mitsu from them. a store is about 20 mins away. a short while later, they offered a 73" = what i really wanted. for a better than newegg price. but shortly after that i saw amazon had em for even less. sheeesh.

its going to be a few years for an upgrade (the mitsu 65" was a MAJOR upgrade).
by then, a projector can be possible.

Good enough is good enough. Stop looking at deals. And start watching some movies. Or I will have to repossess the tv and give it the proper use.

You got a new tv and you are on the internet at all? Seems like someone isn't playing with their new toy.

If you read this message turn the computer off. Get you favorite movie and go enjoy your insanely big tv. You know it's way bigger than that 13" you had as a kid.

I don't know about the US Tiger direct site, but the Canadian one has horrible customer service. They shipped me a DOA motherboard, and it took 4 hours on the phone with them to get a RA #. Then they credited me the wrong amount on my credit card. Which took another 2 hours to get sorted out with them insisting I was "incorrect", simple math was beyond them. The only time I order from them now is if I price match something far beyond their price just to screw them.

Now, NCIX on the other hand has the best customer service on the net. I called to check the status of an order to see if it had shipped yet since it was after the date it should have and I hadn't received my tracking # yet. They were backed up which is why it hadn't shipped, but they upgraded my shipping to over night for free. They also sent me a free replacement fan for my CPU heatsink after Arctic cooling refused to send me one, I hadn't even bought the heatsink from them.

That's customer service.

That last part is so damn true! LOL!
Gears of War 2 looks fantastic - and I've been playing Left For Dead - great stuff on the bigger screen!
