Your home theater system's product description says it will play the following disc types --

DVD-Video, DVD-RAM/-RW/-R/-R(DL), +R/+R(DL)/+RW, CD, CD-R/-RW, Video CD, SVCD, WMA, MP3, JPEG

Looks like it covers about all the usual video disc suspects (except Blu-ray;)). Are you burning them as DVD media? It should play your -R discs... maybe it doesn't like the brand?

Could be ... what file format are you are downloading? .avi or divx maybe? I use Nero for burning and convert files to DVD video first.

You'll need a program to convert those file types. I use Ulead VideoStudio SE DVD - it will convert .avi to DVD video - but it doesn't do Divx - try download.com and look around there - you may find a free utility... or you may have to buy one - regardless your DVD player won't play AVI or DIVX files and your discs will need to be in NTSC DVD video format.

You're welcome - good luck ... converting video files can be a royal PITA and takes some time, patience... and a robust 'puter. ;)
